Scandinavia is composed of the following: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.dark-lauron wrote...
It's a Scandinavian country (NO WAY?! that was awfully obvious)... or not? I don't know. I consider that Scandinavia, my apologies if I am wrong.
Most of Northern Europe, that.

On of the popular believes around here says, that it was our people who thought Finns to play ice hockey and thats why our teams play somewhat similar.
Poor Estonians, no-one remembers them... :happy:dark-lauron wrote...
I know you have a language like no other country in origin, apart from Hungary (at least, that's what we studied, same origin).

They look kinda similar, don't they
"Poor Estonians, no-one remembers them.."
finnish and estonian are disturbingly similar languages...
"The land of thousands of lakes?"
Well there sure isn't shortage of water here...
"Best RAW Black metal is from Finland. Azaghal, Horna, Behexen,Sargeist etc.."
Couldn't tell, I don't really listen that music...And for the love of maker, do not ever, ever listen any of the finnish "traditional songs"....
"The capital is Helsinki. I think it was originally apart of the Soviet Union. Also, it was a land unconquered by the Roman Empire, I think. Churches are mostly made of wood, if I'm correct."
Helsinki is the capital yes. The largest city in finland. Population approx. 550 000.
Yep, we were a part of russia while ago, and before that, we were a part of sweden. Finland gained independece in the year 1917. Yep, I think no Roman empire people have walked here. Can't be sure thou, they did conquer England. And churches are made of wood, but there are really awesome gothic style churches aswell.
"Oh yeah, I remember. It was conquered by Russia by Alexander the 1 during the early 1800s."
So it was. Did you know why? It was because the then current king of sweden was in a war against russia, and finland was a part of sweden at the time. Guess who lost that war, sweden or russia? :-D
No disrespect to any swedish people, but you guys were total sissies when it came to fighting. Whenever you got into a war, you threw finnish fighter to battlefield and claimed all the glory out of victories
"I only know that weed is legal there"
Nope, it's not. I think you are thinking holland (netherlands)... Gosh, I wanna visit amsterdam some day. But the next trip I'll ever gonna make is to go to Japan. I've wanted to go there about 10 years now...

That reminds me of one time when I encountered one wildish reindeer in lappland (It was my vacation, yay). When I was walking the woods around our cabin in nellim (thriving little village with population of 100), I heard some rustle behind me. As I turned around, there was a reindeer right behind me, just few centimeters away. It just looked at me, turned it's head a little, made a weird sound (I think it laughed, in reindeerish way), turned around and went away. I think it was a female, since that is the most common reaction among female crowd when they are near me :-D

To say the least. At the moment, there is -25 degrees of celsius and the snow is blowing laterally. And it's pitch black outside...

Oh, and here we have this crazy sport called eukonkanto (roughly translated as "carry-the-wife") where you run through an obstacle course with a woman hanging on your back...
we have women like that here in america. however, it's not a sport to the men. it's a mission to the women. for the men out there, we call those women "stage 5 clingers."
