So what? That's the whole point of the avatar genius. I gave my opinion just like everyone else. Everyone's opinion is biased based on their experience.

How come Jacob was cooler in ME: Galaxy?

He even had an assault rifle.

I have found several missions where a combination of Grunt and Jacob can mean slaughter to the enemies. Have both max out inferno ammo, lock on shotguns and it clears close combat easily.. Try them on husks and watch them explode.

Jacob should have been a Vanguard.

I don't mind using Jacob for the first half if the game when playing an adept. I get his incendiary ammo and his pull helps set up warp combos. Very useful on insanity. I tend to use samara and Thane in the second half of the game more.

I used him as a soldier too. I'd rather have jacob's pull than grunt's concussive shot. Jacob's pull pairs better with miranda's warp. As for giving grunt incendiary when playing a soldier, you're basically nerfing him. Rather he have max fortification with him using my squad ammo.

The assault rifle is over rated IMO. The eviscerator with inferno ammo does more damage. I see Jacob dropping more foes than Zaeed or Garrus and the rest with their cool assault rifles. I've also noticed that the squad mates with AR don't shoot the enemy until they are almost at mid range. That's within the eviscerator's range.

Jacob's only downfall is that he does not have access to ARs. However, Pull makes him quite worthwhile to take on missions.

Jacob is supposed to be a tank, but often is the first to die. He can't kill anyone with his shotgun. He's worthless.

Grunt's Krogan charge is worth more than Jacob's pull, it complements his use as a tank.

What I don't understand is why they didn't keep him bald for ME2.

I don't understand why Bioware put him in ME2.

Sounds like you sent Jacob through the vents, Kraidy.

While I personally like Grunt better, I don't think Jacob is a bad character. He's A LOT better than Kaiden in fact. Usually I like to rotate my characters each mission to hear the different dialouge and comparing how difficult certain fights are compared to another pair I brought in.

Jacob is secretly a redshirt.

Theres nothing secret about it.  He's practically got "expendable" printed on his armor.

Yes Jacob, you're a dutiful and skilled soldier.  You realize Earth alone trains hundreds of thousands of you yearly, right?  To the firing line with you!

i give jacob the revenant and i still hesitate to bring him along. it seems like he jumps on top of crates just so he can die there and slump dramatically to the floor.

I have no time for Jacob, especially once I have Mordin and Garrus there is no reason to ever take him along again, in fact I wish I didn't even have to take him along on his own loyalty mission.....
