I accidentally started the mission by talking to the one guy repairing the gunship and didnt use the renegade interupt during the cutscene. If you do, does that keep garrus from getting wounded by the gunship while youre defending his spot?

No, it's not possible. Garrus being wounded is pretty much a forced issue.

Possible, but unlikely.

EDIT: Apparently not, then.

He looks a total stud with the scarring and blackened armor, anyway.

I'm not gay or into raptors or anything, but I'd pop a heat sink for him.

The scars make him even more bad ass. Just wish you could fix his armor... keeping busted armor just seems like bad practice imo.

You should be able to use that scar removal apparatus on Garrus. Hell, it works on you. But yeah, seeing him run around in his busted armor all game long is a bit meeeeh. You'd think he'd have repaired it at one point.

I think he keeps it more of a momento than laziness to repair a quite obvious hole in his armour. He seems like the type to wear something like that to show his history, as a reminder to others as much as himself.

Yeah I wouldn't mind except for the armor. I thought his alt costume would fix that. I mean that thing can't be environmentally sealed anymore or be considered "armor".

Momento or not, it's pretty damn stupid to go into battle in damaged armor. That's just asking to get killed.

Well, pretty much no squadmates armour is very reliable or realistic to go into battle with. Grunt and Garrus are the only ones with the slightest bit of believability to them surviving.

Its only stupid if the damage hinders the armor in any way, as it stands it doesnt hinder it at all (the damaged part holds no real significance) so leaving a momento on your armor of past battles doesnt really affect much.
