360 Elite, playing from CD2
Imported ME1 character, new game
Time Played: 28h.14m
Mission: Illium - Commercial Spaceport
Bug: Immediately after going down the hallway and through the door to the first encounter with 3 mechs, as I tried to take cover behind a crate and an "L" shaped wall the game had Shepard and crew members actually mount the crate and lifted all 3 to the top of the wall. I was still able to engage the enemies, but could not get down from the wall. After saving and reloading numerous times, I found that I was only able to fall from the wall to the sloped rim of the original platform and from there I could fall to a lower level but I was unable to get back to the original platform at all.
Fix: Luckily, since it was at the start of the mission, going to "Load Game" from the main menu and choosing "Restart Mission" put the three characters back onto the original platform without losing much gameplay.
Thus, while it didn't affect my game much, I thought I should at least submit a quick bug report in case it is not just a localized problem and instead a larger underlying problem with the game geometry or collision avoidance routines.
Other than that, I've been very satisfied with ME2 and congratulate Bioware on another solid game.

It seems to be fairly prevalent -- on more than one occasion I've found myself suddenly hovering above something (desks, mostly) and having real difficulty getting off again; sometimes a bit of aggressive movement and rapid direction changes will sort it out, but more often than not it's been terminal. It seems to happen most often when you're close to an object and a wall and swing the camera round so that it's between you and the wall; the camera pops, and you end up floating in mid-air.

Thanks El. I thought it might be, thus the report. I, personally, probably would have been a little peeved if I had lost more gameplay (I don't save often enough) but, for all intents and purposes, I lost nothing. Plus I understand how on a game of this size persistent bugs like that can be a pain to find and fix so I'm not going to slag Bioware for it. As they say; stuff happens and when all is said and done it really is a quality offering.
