Yeah, this is really highlighted in the video where it showed some of the VAs and it showed her doing one of the lines and you look at her facial expression as she is saying the lines and then see Miranda, its fairly different. IRL her eyebrows move about as she is saying some of the words but in the game they don't. Kind of odd as they seemed to get Joker perfectly with his facial expressions

Well I think Miranda's backstory kind of says it all.  Here she is, engineered to be perfect.  And here's Shepard, who's managed to reach a level that she never can. 

It's nothing more than the classic argument that natural can supercede engineered much like Gattica and countless other storylines with the same premise.

Romancing Miranda is not just sexual and it's not just platonic. It's a great balance of both. But I guess you're just prejudiced against her because of her looks and the way she initially presents herself to actually spend some time getting to know her character.

No, I played through the romance. don't get me wrong, I understand people liking her looks/personality.

It's just that I personally have seen that kind of character archetype too many times, to the point where it just bores.

super hot female with family issues, abandons former loyalties to join you. to me, it's just meh. It isn't bad acting.
It isn't bad writing. It's just...common. There is nothing unique about the character or romance for me.

Maybe I'm just a picky A-hole.

Theres always Jack. I think her face is much better looking but those tattoos are a little of putting. Also the fact shes a serial killer and proberly has a million STDs

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but her teeth kinda freaked me out. She's got this horrible buck-toothed thing going on, and all her surrounding teeth are too short as well. :<

I don't have a screenshot on hand, but I could probably go root one out of my Fraps folder.

The huge jawbone completely turned me off, even *before* her blah and otherwise smug personality came to light. Also, her face is as expressive as a botoxed up aging Hollywood starlets.

I think people are just more forgiving of the alien romance options because:

1. They are alien and any "ugliness" you associate with them being alien and instead you focus on what makes them more human and "beautiful". In other words you have lower standards with non-humans

2. You can't see Tali's face



Bioware doesn't seem to be able to do a perfect job when it comes to facial expressions/design. Yeah she is based on an attractive model but there is still something off about Miranda.



Of course everything else about her body I'd say is perfect, weird to see so many web geeks complain "omg she is too sexy I don't want that"

I think it was a design decision since BioWare didn't want to add models into the game that'd drag most people's computers to it's knees.

For some of us, it's not an issue.  For others, it'd drastically effect the game given the lack of detail options to fiddle with for optimization.

also, I've seen people say Miranda looks like Michael Jackson...I'm not a Miranda fan, but seriously where are people getting that from? I don't see it at all.

More than just the jaw I think it is more the shape and size of her head and face.  She kind of gives off this "bobble head" feel.  If the head was proportioned correctly and shaped less like a giant square cube I think it would go a long way to make her look and feel more "natural".

I think she looks off, too. I like Yvonne, she's gorgeous on Chuck, but something didn't translate well ... it's like they botoxed Miranda too much and her face doesn't move the way it is supposed to... I'm not sure... It's not ugly so much as it is distracting. You know something isn't right, but can't quite put your finger on it.

I felt she was incredibly attractive, her appearance as well as her personality - even though my character (and myself, to some degree) couldn't stand her to begin with. And I'm not a hormone-induced teenage guy, or a "guy" at all for that matter, but I still found her beautiful.
