Ashley looks better. Instead of being a barbie Ashley actually looks like a real woman who keeps in shape.

And to everyone who plays ME only for sex scenes, like one of my friends... definitely get a life... this game has a wonderful history, try to not ruin it with sex... there are a lot of porn sites if you need. This is not the place. Hope that BioWare has got the message, because another couple of oversexualized womans like Miranda or Samara for ME3 will be dull.
Come on...

Obviously Miranda's appearance was created specifically to attract the common video game group, the ones who like babes who are way over proportion and those underage or act like tools. Don't get me wrong I am not saying all Miranda fans are young and act like D-bags but you have to admit her appearance is stereotypical.

I agree with some posts, Miranda at the end has a character story, but most of all seems like an oversexualized character. Seems like she was created only for making people buy ME2 without knowing it.

It's a pity about Samara's ridiculous superhero costume, since her character as such was not in any way oversexualized.
Miranda too, was more of an intelligent and capable ice queen than a sultry temptress coasting through life using her sex appeal... It's like the classic case of an actress who is not only sexy, but a good actor as well, and the producers damage her credibilty by sexing up her part in classic roles... Those cheesy ass focus shots and that super tight costume... Especially wearing it in the heat of battle... Poor Miri. Hopefully the devs will have more respect for the character in her ME3 appearance.

The huge jawbone completely turned me off, even *before* her blah and otherwise smug personality came to light. Also, her face is as expressive as a botoxed up aging Hollywood starlets.
More than just the jaw I think it is more the shape and size of her head and face. She kind of gives off this "bobble head" feel. If the head was proportioned correctly and shaped less like a giant square cube I think it would go a long way to make her look and feel more "natural".
Her head is pretty much modeled after the actual person, yvonne strahovski
I think the problem is more with lighting and shadowing than who she was modeled after. There are times when Miranda looks like she has the start of a double chin or just some fab there while other times she looks pretty dam close to Yvonne. The difference I have seen is all about how much light and the angle that it hits her face.

Sure, there are times when Miranda's expressions seem odd or off and some camera angles can be unflattering, but that is true for every human and Asari character in Mass Effect. Ashley had the same problem and so did Liara. That is always going to be an issue with CG characters because you aren't actually looking at real people.

This.
I know this is all a matter of personal opinion though but I've found some of the comments here really odd. I find Miranda looks perfectly fine, though there is something about her that just seems "off". I think it's the way her mouth moves when she talks and just her facial expressions in general. Otherwise I think she looks great, not quite like Yvonne, but passable.
I don't understand people's comments on Ashley though. A horse? Really? Try as I might I just don't see it
I think she looks amazing....she looks NORMAL. Probably one of my favourite female video game characters in terms of personality and looks.
But I don't want to get off track here. In the end it all comes down to personal opinion, much like nearly everything else.
