Know this has been asked before, but no solution was suggested so i might run it by ye again. No broadband at home, downloaded the DLC at a friend's house. Put my hard drive in his 360. Got the DLC, worked fine. Now though i can't seem to play the game unless i'm connected to Live, which, not having broadband is incredibly awkward. Re-downloaded the DLC at friend's house with HDD in my own 360. Still nothing. But friend can play ME2 offline with the DLC no problems. Anyone know what the story is with that?

The 360 you first ever downloaded it on is the 360 it is registered as belonging to.
It's a twofold DRM system used by XBox Live to prevent abuse. the download is registered to your gamertag. That gamertag can use it on ANY 360. HOWEVER, you have to be signed in to Live to do so. To use it offline, it registers it to a single 360 console, the first 360 it was downloaded on, in your case, your friend's 360. That 360 it can be used on when offline. This is to prevent people downloading their purchases on all their friends' systems and everyone being able to use them all the time.

There's a license transfer tool available on the XBox website, which you can use once a year to reassign your licenses to your own 360.

Has anyone mentioned that the game prohibits you from backing up (copying) your career files to an MU? I doubt this is a "bug" but a ****** poor design decision and I'd like to see someone at Bioware comment on it. I've moved a finished career back and forth without an issue, so my console is working fine. The game content just can't be copied...and that SUCKS!

I'm SO sick of games that do this. It's annoying enough not being able to transfer my original XBox game saves, without them gimping 360 games like this... and it's totally random which games do it. I have multiple hard drives FOR A REASON. If one ever fails, I still have my savegames. As long as it's not a save for anything like Fable 2. Or Mass Effect 2. Or any other game I've invested a massive amount of my time in.

I'm lvl 24 Vanguard and I never recieved the rogue VI mission for the subclass... no message or anything at all from Hackett. It's really making me angry and I seem to be the only one with this problem because I can't seem to find anything on the web about it.:crying: I even tried to go to Luna... earth is there but no moon! aahhh

Anyone noticed the lipsynch glitch? When the lips and voice are not synchronized perfectly, the dialogue line adruptly stops in order to perform the next line of dialogue.

Not entirely sure if this is a bug:

Illium: Indentured Service
Upon convincing the indentured service broker to free the quarian, the journal entry for the quest Illium: Indentured Service is marked as complete.  However, one can still talk to the Synthetic Insights Rep and use the charm (This would be good business.) or intimidate (You're prejudiced!) options.  This updates the journal entry saying the quarian was taken in by Synthetic Insights.

I think the quest was supposed to end after I convinced the broker to take the hit because she could not help the quarian.

I'd like to add that I now have a deep hatred for the quarian in Eternity that talks to the turian about dating a human -- she says, "Uh, excuse me, human?  Private conversation (pronounced conver-say-she-un), ugh!"

*edit*
If it matters, I chose the intimidate option when talking to the broker to complete the quest.  Unfortunately I do not have an earlier save file to see if the Synthetic Insight's rep goes away -- or if conversation changes -- when the charm option is chosen.

I have a strange glitch. On all my imported ME1 saves, the "ME1 Love Interest Picture" is ... black. I know the previous relationship is correctly imported because I get the "reunion" cutscenes for my previous love interests. Still, the picture remains desperately black. Needless to say I checked it at various stages of the game (like before/after Horizon).

Any insights ?

Minor glitch: in the cutscene where you escape the derelict reaper, I had Zaeed equipped with the geth rifle. It showed him holding it, but when he fired it sounded like the regular rifle, instead of the distinct geth sound effect.

Repeatable glitch: In the map interface, if I push x to exit directly from scanning, the music from the map will keep playing when I go back in the ship. When I go back to the map, the music stats again, overlapping the first one. Seems to do this every time.

I'm glad you mention the small text issue. Since I have a SDTV--and will not have the cash for a HDTV for a while--I have decided that I will not buy this game until I have a nicer screen to play it on. Thanks, BioWare.  I was really looking forward to playing this game. ME1 is one of my favorite all-time games; it's the reason I even bought a 360.

As I'm sure has happened to many others, the sound cuts out during the middle of the final cutscene of Samara's loyalty mission, as she confronts her target. It's about right when the target powers her biotics up.

Regarding the Miranda/Jack argument bug, I did Miranda's mission first and was able to get them to settle it peacefully with a Paragon option (Paragon bar was full) so there may be other factors involved than just the order of the loyalty missions.

Or it could be that it only shows up on repeat playthroughs via importing ME2 characters. There is also the Zaeed Paragon glitch I have mentioned earlier (though, if I'm reading this thread right, it was ignored), a glitch that did not appear once I started up a new game via importing my ME1 character again. Also, if I had to guess, then this glitch would also occur after Legion's loyalty mission, whereupon Tali confronts it. It's just a hypothesis, however, as I have yet to test it out.

So from your experience it is not glitched if you start a new game by importing your ME1 endgame save, but will be glitched if you start a New Game+ using the ME2 endgame save? Maybe it has something to do with the carry-over of Paragon/Renegade points, since importing a ME1 save gives you bonus starting points but a ME2 save does not?

I posted this in another thread because this one didn't show up in the search. Anyway, I'll post it here too.

So I'm on my insanity playthrough for ME2 for the 360 and I've
encountered a lot of bugs/glitches it seems. Don't get me wrong, I love
ME2, It's just really starting to annoy me because its messing up my
game. Besides the usual like teammates AI not following some of my
orders or myself getting stuck on crates, I've noticed a few things
that make insanity all the more difficult:

1) Sometimes when my
Shepard changes ammo powers or weapons while crouching during a battle,
he'll stand up and leave cover. Usually this results in him dying since
pressing A to take cover doens't work until he finishes switching over.
This isn't a big deal, just an annoyance.

2) After the 3rd main
story mission, my load screen has been messed up. When I die, if I hit
A to resume, it loads a screen that is my save from like 5 or 6
missions ago instead of my most recent. So instead I have to hit X and
reload my last save. Again, just an annoyance.

3) Recently, my
squadmates have at times become completely unresponsive. I don't know
if this happened before on other difficulty settings but I've noticed
it now. On the last mission, Garrus was "alive' but he didn't shoot, he
wouldn't go where I told him too, he wouldn't use his power when I told
him to. He just sat like a bump on a log behind a crate. It was like he
was dead, and his powers screen was darkened like he was. However, on
the normal screen it showed him to be alive and when I used a medi gel
to heal both teammates, it only took up 1, indicating the game believed
he was still 'alive'. However, he still remained completely unreponsive
behind a crate until I moved on to the next area. However, the same
thing happened again there. So pretty much I fought that battle with
one squad member.

4) Sometimes the game doesn't let me save
after I finish a battle, even though I know from previous playthroughs
I should be allowed to save. So if I die, I have to start all the way
back from my last save. Also, this happens a lot to me on Mordin's
loyalty mission at the end. If I chose to stay to get the credits and
not leave right away, I cannot leave at all. Pressing B does not do
anything even though it should allow me to leave. So I have to reload
and fight that last battle again. I've had this happen enough times
that I'm pretty sure this is caused by running back and picking up
those power cells on the upper floor.

5) Finally, the most
recent and annoying thing is the game saying I do/don't have someone's
loyalty, Samara. I did her mission and can change her outfit and it
says on the team status I have her loyalty. However, on the squad menu
it won't let me place points in reave because it says she is not loyal!
So I'm not sure if she is or not, and I did her mission a long time ago
so I'm not going to go back and restart it. So I have no idea if she'll
survive the final battle or not. I guess this happened to someone else and he said his squadmate lived through the last mission so hopefully that will be the case with Samara.

Anyway, those are just my issues with the game so far. Hopefully nothing else will come up

You have to be standing right next to the picture, as close as you can be. It remains black until you get really close, then 'turns on' revealing a picture of your ME1 LI.

In regards to this bug:

Inability to save
This seems to occur for some players after completing the introduction and setting their appearance.
Status: Glitched, cause unknown. Advice is to attempt to save the moment you complete this part of the game. If it does not allow you to, restart.

This happened when I imported my ME1 character, then went to add a beard through custom, saw the default faces didn't include Shepard, so I backed out and was asked to save.  I replied No, and from there on was not allowed to save the game, and Resume was not an option upon exiting and trying to restart that game.  So 30 minutes down the drain on that one...

Noticed an annoying one on my second playthrough. Nothing game breaking, but in the finale, after you defeat the final boss, there is a transparent blacked out region on the lower left hand of the screen during the entirety of in-game cutscene (sequence where you run the hell out of the Collector base). This seems to be the result of the notification update you get on defeating the boss not fully disappearing (I assume this is it since the region was shaped like the notification boxes).

Also, second run through, the ending cinematics didn't seem as chopped up as the first. Still choppy at times, but did not seem as bad as the first time. Either something changed or I have horrible memory.

I think I managed to find a new bug on the 360:

I had two ME1 finished careers, the second a new game+ of the first. I imported the second, higher level character first, then the original. After that, I finished another ME1 play through with a new character and attempted to import that. It was blocked as unavailable as if I had already imported it, but the first, lower level was not even though that had been imported. I imported that character again, thinking maybe it would reset whatever was blocking the import. No luck, I could load that save a third time still but can't load the newest one once. Loaded a save and defeated Saren again, two valid ME1 end games now appear, both locked, but that first character is still available. Started a New game+ with that character in ME1, thinking that might make a difference. Still no luck (but I can sill load that first ME1 end game). I did not keep the stock names at all, and the new game is after the first alphabetically.

Any thoughts?

The interface for the end of the Javelin Missiles mission is ridiculously confusing on the 360.  It gives you two choices on a menu and allows you to move the highlight between the two, but unlike every other interface in the game, it maps A to one choice and B to the other choice, instead of just using A to select the highlighted choice.  This causes massive confusion, because you would expect that highlighting the 2nd option and pressing A would select that option, when it in fact selects the opposite.  Horrible failure of interface standards here. :pinched:

In addition, the labels for the menu choices don't match the labels for pressing A or B.  The labels for A and B are derived from the description text for each target but do no have a direct correspondence to the menu labels, which also increases confusion.

Not sure if this has been posted already but I didn't see it in OP so...
Many times when I resume, it loads a save that was taken sometimes hours before my last save.  This has happened in all of my play through's. (I think)
