Maybe there is a scratch you can't see?  My suggestion is to try installing it to the hard drive if you have room.

it was at the very least twice, then again come to think of it, seems like that happened when I got Bring down the sky, and Pinnacle Station.

 aye my disc was becoming un readable whenever i tried to land on Zorya to do Zaeeds quest, I posted on xbl forums and was told i should clear my hard drive cache so i did so, now my disc is becoming unreadable when a load screen comes up. Neither of the discs are scratched yet its happening for Disc one and Disc two

Omega Quarantine Zone - In the first room behind a bypass door you find two dead Turians. When you play any of the computer log entries, it triggers your character to pull out their weapon, whether or not the weapon was out before.



Samara/Morinth fight - Audio cuts out.



Biotic attacks causing voices to have lowered volume than sound effects/voice for prolonged periods.

I dont know if this has been reported but game freezes and cant go on just before character creation if installed on HD (tried it three times) :(

I was doing the mission to stop the missile launch on the colony and when i got back to Normandy Kelly told me that i had a new message.It was from the Illusive man telling that i could meet with Zaeeed. I 'd already received that message and recruited him and done his mission plus i used him on other missions. So i checked my team and he wasn't there anymore.So i checked the saved games and noticed the date on the auto-save.It`s dated nov.22 2005. I had done a manual save two days before and it's there with the correct date. So all the missions i had done after that save are gone so i have to redo everything prior to the last auto-save. I'm gonna do manual saves more often from now on. On Grunt mission i also lost the sound and i freaked out thinking it was my TV.On the mission to start the beacon on the foggy planet if you stray a bit of the path me and my team ended up walking on an invisible floor 20 feet above the ground and could only walk in circle. It happenned on another mission also.What i hate about it ,is i'm gonna have to redo the scan of the planets so i can buy upgrades.Everybody knows how tedious this is. I don`t mind redoing the missions however because i' gonna be prepared to what happens.So beware and do manual saves often.

Had you unplugged your 360? I know that's given me stupidly dated autosaves in the past which I've loaded and lost a ton of progress.

Another strange one I found last night. I'm replaying on insanity and was doing the Mordin recruitment mission. For some reason I could not interact with the sick Batarian near the beginning at all (the one with the Paragon action to use medi-gel on him). He was there, lying on the ground, but I couldn't talk to him.



I later died and was brought back to the beginning. THIS time, I could talk to him. Don't know why that happened, possibly because I targeted the two Blue Suns mercs in that room before "aggroing" them if that is somehow tied to making the Batarian active. Who knows.



Another one during that same mission which you can maybe just expand the "Miscellaneous clipping bugs" entry - Jacob got stuck in the terrain at one point (I was able to nudge him out by pushing against him).



Also, not sure if this was a clipping issue, but at one point Miranda absolutely stopped responding. She was standing in cover behind a pillar, frozen (no movement, not even any idle animation). She wouldn't attack or respond to any commands (even squad movement commands). I couldn't find any way to fix her, but I died pretty soon after anyways which obviously did it.

This has happened to me a few times, the team mates enter cover but then become locked, they wont do anything or respond to movement commands.

Also there is a bug when telling people to move behind cover, they move to the location but instead of taking cover against the desired object, they just stand, or crouch, behind it and will then try and shoot and use powers, hitting whatever it is they they are behind.

I know of three audio bugs, that aren't really issues but they are still bugs.



1. Elcor and Asari on the Citadel: Their conversation is very muffled, like it's happening in a different room.

2. The Turian at Citadel customs. When asked to remove his biotic amp, his shocked "What" response does not have the flanging effect applied to it, his next line however does, it's really noticable.

3. On Horizon when EDI is explaining about the gun towers, the camera is in the Normandy looking at Edi and Joker, but when EDI speaks her voice uses the "head set" effect used when she speaks to Shepard when he is off the ship.

It has been a while since I played this part of ME1, but I'm pretty sure the Paragon response to Conrad is still putting the gun in his face.  I remember it seeming harsh.  Now I have to go and replay this.  :)

No, it definately isn't.  I just played this about 2 weeks ago.

No, in the paragon response you convince him that what you need is someone back home backing you up. You only put the gun in his face if your a renegade.



It's obviously a glitch, Paragon Shepard was always nice to Conrad, but he refers to you being " a big jerk"

Regarding auto-saves files, no i didn't unplug my console. I was using it at the time so i don't know what happenned there. Also , it's true that the text is really small. I have a 42 inch TV and even though i can read the text i can just imagine somebody with a smaller TV having trouble reading.I don't have a fancy sound system, just the speaker on the TV but i have a hard time understanding what is being said. To me it sounds like there's an echo. I know they want to make it sound like you're in a big place and not in a studio but i find it difficult to understand.Also sometimes there's music or an announcement on the PA at the same moment.Maybe as i'm only using the TV speakers and not a sound system were all the audio elements are directed to different channels so the audio would be more clear i'm having a problem there. Because of that i always take time to read so i can reply the right way.That's why i'm commenting on the text.

Help pop-up messages keep occurring over and over again even though I'm 2+ hours into the game and I'm playing on veteran difficulty.

I don't think that's actually a bug, it's just really annoying :)

Okay, so an update:  Unfortunately I was unable to test this completely.  I kind of got caught up in the story while testing and instead of turning the game off after loading the save, ended up going through the ending sequence.  DOH!  Sorry!.  However I can conclusively say that my older saves that weren't showing up (even though I had finished the game with those characters) are now showing up after loading the last save for those characters and re-playing the ending.  Either way its not that big of a deal because if you do have a character that isn't showing for import, just load it up as near the end as you can (there should be an autosave right as you enter the council chambers and face Saren/Sovereign) and play through....skipping through the dialogue (most cutscenese cannot be skipped here) it shouldn't take you more than 10 to 15 minutes.

I do still think this has to do with pre/post patches though (or maybe the DLC for ME1.....same thing?).  It just makes sense and could have easily been missed in testing as they would have been using a current version.  I dunno, just a hunch.

I too have had my teammates get stuck and become unresponsive.  I've also had my character clip onto or into objects and get stuck, and of course the sound issues.  I have a nice 6.1 home theater setup that I play on and I think it would make a difference if you were only using stereo from the TV but even I've noticed (and the first one was the same) that a lot of the dialogue audio is too quiet.  One of the first things I did on ME1 and now ME2 was to go into the audio settings and turn down music and sound effects while keeping dialogue maxed.

I'm now starting another play through with a different character from ME1 (one that saved the council this time) so it will be interesting to see if any of the other bugs creep up on me for this playthrough.  I do hope they can get a patch made quickly though as some of these bugs are really, really annoying.

BUG: Controller disconnects in Jack Loyalty mission if vibration enabled

So far, at least two players have reported that if controller vibration is enabled during the Jack loyalty quest, the controller will be disconnected every time the controller vibrates. The workaround is to disable vibration in the game setting menu for that level.

The exact cause of this problem (software or hardware) is still unknown.  Obviously, this bug does NOT occur for everyone is seems (so far) to be quite rare.
