Sound Bug: When playing Grunt's loyalty mission, the sound would die every time you hit the keystone and metal piece fell down. Then come back seconds later, sound would return. This only happened once, and didn't happen again.

Another bug I noticed were Random Renegade/Paragon points, which seemed to appear sometimes even if you did nothing to gain any. Example, after you return to Mordin's clinic after you finished the mission and talk to him, you'll get Renegade points if you say "Stay" instead of leaving back to the ship. However, if you click "Leave", you don't gain any Renegade OR Paragon points. Another example is in Grunt's loyalty mission, where after you kill the Thresher Maw, no matter what option you pick during the talk with Gatatog Uvenk, you'll still get renegade points. Even if you say, "It's up to you Grunt". I've even heard from Renegade players that they gain Paragon points despite never hitting any option that would gain any.

Just found a sort of fix for the samara audio glitch. If you go into the sound menu and turn sound effects to 0% the dialogue/music won't cut out. this is still really annoying though, because not everyone has this glitch and they certainly aren't playing with sound effects off.

Okay, I think I might have an answer for the Samara audio glitch. I have tried the collector's vs the regular edition and they both do it on my old 360 premium (component). But I used the same save on my friend's newer 360 elite (same disc, HDMI) and had no problem. I have a hunch it has to do with component audio output vs HDMI audio output.

Great Thread by the way! They should make it stickey and reward u with some prmtiongoods, cause again the customers are doing the companys job.
SHAME ON YOU EA/BW! SHAME ON YOU!
So thank you treadstarter! :o

Here's another Bug:

i have trouble staying behind cover. this is what happens, i press A. shepard ducks behind cover only to stand up instantly after. it has taken me anywhere from 3-7 tries to get him to stay down, and know that im playing on insanity i dont get up as high as 4 attempt before im dead. i first though maybe im hitting the button twice, so i tested it in a zone after i killed the enemies. im only pressing once, and shepard ducks down the stands right back up. ive tested this on several game controllers.

I have a newer arcade model, am using the collectors edition and am connected via HDMI and the sound always cuts out at that part. Even after installing to HDD.

So it can't be down to componant vs HDMI. There must be some other cause.

About the disc reading error, it's just something I noticed. If I change my status to show like I'm offline, while EA/Bioware screens are showing I get that error. Moreover, I haven't got it while I was just online or when I have plugged out the wi-fi adapter (I have just tried to plug it out when the error has appeared and without rebooting the 360 it has disappeared)

hmm, well if it's not the HDMI, I'm not sure. I'm playin on an the U.S. version btw. All I know is I used the same disc and hard drive and save game on two different 360s and on the Elite the sound worked fine and on the Premium it screwed up.

Does anyone with the Samara audio glitch not have their game installed? Because I have yet to encounter this and I have both discs installed. Also, I'm using component, so I'm not sure that's it..

I have noticed other audio glitches though, for instance the boss fight with Jedore on Grunt's recruit mission. Sound goes in and out, firing my weapon doesn't make noise, then it's way too loud. This happened on both of my playthroughs. It's also happened in other areas that I can't recall atm. Very strange.

Another Random Renegade points bug: When you escape the Collector's ship and talk to the Illusive Man, no matter what you say, you'll still gain 5 Renegade points in the end.

EDIT:

I also noticed a continuity error with Legion. In the level up menu, his lights are red, but in game his lights are blue.

I'm not sure if this is a glitch, and I haven't seen it come up anywhere before, so...

On my second playthrough, I decided to download the free Cerberus DLC available from the network (Xbox 360 version). Now, when I did Zaeed's loyalty mission early, I wasn't able to select the paragon option, so I assumed that my paragon points weren't high enough. But after I had built up my paragon meter some more, I still wasn't able to select the paragon option to convince him. Again, I assumed that my paragon points weren't high enough, but when I detoured to do Jack's loyalty mission, I wasn't able to select the paragon option to get Jack and Miranda to stop fighting, even though I knew I had enough points.

So I ask, is this a glitch and (forgive my usage of Transformers curse) how the frag do I fix it?

It can't be a region thing either then.

Your using the american version, I'm using the british version and someone said earlier they were using the german version.

I've been wondering if it could be something to do with the consoles sound options.
Mines set to digital stereo.
I was wondering if the people who don't have the problems have the sound set to dolby digital.
Unforunately I don't think I have a save I can use to reload that mission to test.

Okay, I hate to be nit-picky about this but just to clear this up....  There is no such thing as component audio, that is a video cable connection type not audio.  HDMI on the other hand is both digital audio and picture in one cable.

So just to clarify for us, when using the component video, are you using: A) composite (the analogue cable with the white and red connectors), or B) toslink cable (the fiber optic digital audio cable).

I ask for clarification because using the anologue audio output vs the digital audio option could indeed have an impact or bearing on the issue.    In fact one step further that would be helpful is to know what sound option is enabled on the 360 dashboard settings.  I'm using the digital optical cable and have 5.1 enabled in the dashboard (as have reported earlier I have the sound issues).

I am using an optical cable and the sound consistently cuts out for the Samara cutscene. I also noticed the sound getting distorted and gravely in a few intense fights, don't remember which. Also I completed a whole playthrough without ever experiencing the Shepard facing the wrong way glitch, but on my second playthrough its started happening frequently.

At the end of Jack's loyalty mission when given the choice to stay and look around or leave... not matter what I pick it skips to the cutscene of the explosion... no chance to look around...

There is another issue that I came across with. Even if I am well protected by the walls, the enemies can sometime still hit me with rifle and pistol fire, the bullets seems to go through the barricade, hitting my shields. Well it only does minor damage, but it still bothers me since I'm supposed to be freaking safe from it when hiding behind big pile of stones.

This is definitely a bug.

After leveling up and the mission complete screen telling me that I have received squad points, none of my characters in or out of the group were given any squad points

So far my bugs are

1- Losing sound on the mission where you go to the Selarian's daughter apartment. The conversation between them has no sound for about 2 minutes

2- Unable to import my Mass Effect 1 game save, tried every step mentioned in this forum and still unsolved. It could be because I sold Mass Effect 1 even before "bring down the sky" came out ? or because I had the European (EU) version of the game

Yeah, from what I've read so far you're screwed.  If you don't have your original copy of ME1 anymore to replay the ending I don't think there is anything you can do.  Kind of makes a person wonder....knowing how hard EA and Bioware are working to try and thwart the used game market it could almost seem plausible that this "bug" is on purpose.  Unless you still have your ME1 (and didn't trade it in) you can't "fix" your old saves to import into ME2.  Seems a little far fetched but hey, you never know!  LOL Image IPB

I finished play through one last night and ran into a bug I have seen posted elsewhere. I can not start a new game via import of ME1. My first play through was with a Paragon-ish ME1 character and I went to load my bad guy renegade character for play through two.

The game goes bizzaro where the video has a headless Shepard standing in an open void and when I press start to bring up the menu I see some unpopulated items. For instance, in the Load screen it will say something like "character name" and "character class" instead of the actual name/class. Eventually after trying to get it to do something it will freeze.

This happened to me twice and then again when I tried importing a third character.

okay, so yes I know component does not have audio, I was referring to the regular red and white stereo connectors on the component cable. And yes I too tried changing the console sound options, it made no difference.

also unless this is just a problem that certain consoles are prone to I have no idea what's causing it. I tested Samara's mission out numerous times on a different 360, once or twice the sound cut out, most of the times it didn't (HDMI). On my console it cuts out every time no matter what disc I use whether I have it installed or what (Component Stereo). Also could someone confirm this bug on the regular edition of the game please?

I am no audio expert by any means, but I do know this glitch is somehow caused by the sound effects audio track (or whatever it's called). the reason being is that if you turn the sound effects down to 0% the dialogue and music will keep playing through the scene, but the minute sound effects are unmuted (even at 10%) the sound cuts out.
