Um, what the title says. Would love an update with HR textures for the PC. Some of the current ones look terrible atm. Anyone from BioWare willing to say yay or nay?
Cheers.
Any chance at all of a hi res texture update for PC?

Not likely, there was never a HR pack for ME1. Some textutres look great, other appear to be 1 fo1 imports from ME1.
An update would be nice though.

I agree, I'd like to see some improvement here. I'll be going along, astounded by the amazing new graphics, and then I'll talk to someone who looks as if his clothes were made in MS Paint. Unless, of course, pixellated designs are the big new fashion trend in Citadel space.

Yes, please give us better textures, it was dissapointing to see all these beautifull environments, and then some characters or parts with extremely low res textures.

Maybe we can hope that a mod will be made like the one for Dragon Age that was put up on FilePlanet.

Was that an official mod or community based? Either would be cool, just a shame to see the textures ruin the graphics. Can't take my eyes off them when I see it so it detracts from the greatness of the game.

It's much harder to make bad res textures better. You'd probably have to design them from scratch. Of course a sensible solution would have been to design the graphics for the PC then dumb them down for the consoles instead of the other way round.

Yea, I mean when even the main chars armor textures are crap, you know something is seriously wrong. I guess they just figured that everyone would be staring at the environments and faces, and not look at clothes and armor.

Agreed. I built this screaming kick ass system for my Bioware games but it seems I am bound to the graphical limits of the 5 year old XBOX for all future installments from Bioware. This is very disappointing indeed.

There currently is no way to unpack .pcc files (they contain all the textures of the game) so right now there is nothing the community can do about it.Spawnyguy wrote...

Though I have little doubt the community will evntually create the tools needed to get at all resources required to do it. It's just a matter of time. The game is certainly good enough in many ways to encourage those inclined to figure out ways to dig into just about anything and produce changes. My priorities won't shift from the file editor but I would be shocked if tools to unpack don't start showing up. Again just a matter of tme. But that's imo.

What are you talking about, aside from the odd blocky texture on some unimportant NPCs, the game has awesome texturing...

The face textures are quite good, but most of the armor and textures for character models below the neck can look very pixelated and blocky. Its not a huge issue, but at times it is very distracting for what is an otherwise very good looking game.

I think they textures are in an unreal ufx type file. Would have to doublecheck.
