mass effect 2 is out - ok, but where is the RPG...?

i am new here in this forum. normally i am not posting feedback for a game anywhere, but it comes to my mind i have to do that for mass effect 2.
first of all, i loved mass effect 1. i played it more than one time and i loved really.
i loved the cool mix of action and rpg and the real cool story.
so i was happy to get the second one on the release date.
i am amazed from the intro and the story. the action part is good and it makes fun to fight against the enemys.
But: where is the RPG part of the game?
A RPG must have, good story, good dialogs, good main AND side-quests, inventory, skills, shops, ... .
in mass effect 2 many of these things (side-quests, inventory, skills, shops) are only implemented as minimal as possible. there is no motivation to level up, the skills are very basic. There is no inventory. I want to compare items. in every rpg i can compare the items to select the best one. the differences between the weapons are minimal. the items to buy in the shops are really little.
where is the rpg-part? Mass effect is really a good action game, but the name "RPG-Shooter" doesnt match it really. it is only a action game. I want to walk through a big world to explore it but in mass effect 2 its a big world whre i have to fight. the omega base gives a first clue of it. in mass effect 2 it was great on the citadel. now the citadel is only a small base where i cant explore much. Why not more space-stations for exploring?
@Bioware: thats the wrong direction for the game - please go back and make a real RPG "Mass Effect 3".
Thanks
Bye

RPG != Looting or Inventory. Those things do have nothing to do with playing a role.
ME2 is awsome.

Yes the ME2 Is better ,but not much better... seriously the rpg lvl system and items in ME2 are so dull and gay . Also the planet scaning thing is kinda boring

If people were walking in to Mass Effect expecting Dragon Age they've only got themselves to blame.

Dude seriously stfu. It is more of an rpg than most rpg's out there. You actually play a distinct role and you level up and get skill points, sounds like an rpg to me. Just because you don't have 20 stats that you have to manage and every piece of clothing can't get upgraded, doesn't mean it's not an rpg. And you must be absolutely retarded to say ME2 does not have a good story and good dialogue. Clearly you are a PS3 fanboy. GTFO!
Are you seriously stupid?
So your gone call Halo , Call of duty and gears of war a rpg? omg typical respond from a noob
and WTF does ps3 have anything to do with this? GTFO troll

I agree. I find it a bit insulting when games such as Borderlands
toss in a loot system and some fetch quests and style itself as an RPG.
I still shake my head when I see websites and retailers cetegorize
Bioshock as an RPG. Also, for the love of God, I swear if I see the
phrase "(insert genre here) with RPG elements" one more time I am going
to go on a rampage.

Wrong. It has everything they said, and moves the inventory to the spaceship. Automanages it so you don't need to go "Durr, that number is bigger than that number! Me smart!"DarthCaine wrote...
Ah, and I see you registered today just to troll and don't have the game registered

These threads are worse than Mass Effect 1's cluttered equipmentory, seriously it's like tons of **** just filling up the forum. "warning your **** threads are at 138 of your maximum 150, please clear some space before we omni-ban trolls"
and? You could always sell them no problem or simply delete **** no problemo..

It's a newbie, I find the reaction towards a newbie on this forum rather distasteful. Take your trolling comments elsewhere, bloody hell. This forum is to express opinions about ME2, not to **** and moan about user postings. Don't like the opinion, gtfo of the thread.
