I currently suffer from the seemingly common sound problems related to Mass Effect. These problems include sound clipping, during battle hearing almost no sound at all, and lag entering battler that I associate with many sounds occur at once.


My new solution is to buy a Sound Blaster X-Fi soundcard, and run the sound in hardware mode. Will this fix my problem? Is there a better soundcard to buy that will ensure this sound bug doesn't occur?

Also, I've tried almost every setting (nothing helps)

I tried the solution where I change the max number of channels under [ISACTAudio.ISACTAudioDevice] in BaseEngine.ini.

Sound: Realtek High Definition Audio
Direct X 9
