I just bought mass effect 2 from play.com and it came with the terminus armour and the cerberus network unlock code and armours and weapons but every time i try to input my code it says its either invalid or the server had no response i have 30MB internet.

WTF IS GOING ON.

I demand a refund or my code to work im pig sick of EA and thier non working codes.

Except BC AND BC2

Caaaalm down, they're most likely swamped with similar requests. Same thing happened with Dragon Age codes a few days after launch.

My steam code did not work either until i actually copy pasted it.....

We probably just have bad eyes.

I have the same problem.

Tried every variation possible with my code, but to no avail.



Does anyone know of a point of contact where we could get new codes?

I've tried EA Support, but no help yet.

But the fact remains my code does not work i have been scammed.



So they either Refund my purchase or reply to this thread or i will get my money back either way.



How do i submit a ticket and no not EA they take 3 months to reply useless.....

Yeah this is useless i would like to play with my extra DLC which i payed the extra price for this is really pathetic i demand mod support or a link to where i can get my code working.

I have similiar problem. I bought the physical disc version of the game, and even though it did come with the "Cerberus network... Activation//instructions leaflet", and the instructions etc., the actual place where the code should be is blank.



Am I missing something? I tried, and it doesn't appear to be sticker, it can't be scratched either nor can I see any codes when I try to look against a light.

I got my problem solved by going into the chat.

Took about 30 mins or so to get in contact with someone, but it worked very well, and in the end problem was easily solved. Cerberus working now :)

go to EA's support website and try to email them. Then you will get the option to Live Chat with them. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes or more. Be also prepared to speak with someone who doesn't speak English well and someone who doesn't listen to what you have to say unless you are very, very precise in how you say it. Yes, I tried live chat before, and had the worst experience I've ever had with EA. I submitted an email instead when my Blood Dragon Armor code didn't work. We'll see how long it takes for them to fix it.

Oh, and don't try to register ME2 on their support site, either. They don't have it in their pull-down menu. Their support site sucks badly, and they need to fire the people responsible for maintaining it (and whoever hires their live chat people from countries other than USA).

Good luck, that's all I can say.

Update (5 minutes after original post):

I just went into Profile/Your Registered Game Promotions, and I found that I could download the Blood Dragon Armor straight from there (because I had already used the code for DA:O).  If the inserts had made that clear, that the code is only used once for BOTH games on BIOWARE'S site, I wouldn't have bothered to use EA's support site.  This is very frustrating.  I think the EA support page needs to be merged with Bioware's site.  I'm tired of being confused.  This is why I hate downloadable content.  Directions need to be spelled out clearly for multi-game codes.  Thumbs-down for Bioware and EA.

I think it's on "case to case" basis VarietyMage, because after the waiting period of around 30 mins or so, I got hold of someone who had quite good skills in English plus he was very helpful and solved my problem quite fast. I mean, sure it took time to actually get someone to speak to you, but when that happened, it was pretty straightforward from there.



Presenting your problem, waiting for them (him) to check and getting an answer. At least in my case, problem solved. And without much hassle I'd say.

I have dealt with such people in the past, who don't read what you're writing and can't speak or understand clear English, and they are becoming more and more common every day. I'm glad you had a decent chat, but my experience was a nightmare. I went on the forums here after that disastrous chat attempt, and had a clear response AND solution within an hour after posting my problem. EA support sucks. There should be laws stating that technical support people should pass mandatory reading comprehension tests and English-speaking skills. I get so frustrated with tech support people who simply can't (or won't) do their job. It's not the waiting, it's the screwups that happen once you're trying to talk to them. They act like idiots and they don't pay attention.

I can totally understand your point. As said it varies from case to case. There are good ones and then there are bad ones. I got the good one and you obviously got the bad one.



I do agree with you, that if you are an international company with customers from practically everywhere around the world, you should have some sort of standards when it comes to language skills. Mainly talking about English here really. But it could well be based on where you are from, for example Germany would get support from German speaking etc.

Yeah, I understand. I've had my fair share of problems with games as well, so I know exactly how you feel. Besides it's always the same, what can you do, nothing really. Problem with a game, you use the forums etc., hoping for an answer or solution, if there is none to be found (at the moment) you basically have only few options, either wait and see if there ever will be one or just give up. I suppose you could try working out the problem yourself, but in cases like this, you really can't.

Yeah thats very true well if they dont give me another code or get it to work im going ti do anything to get them sued they cant ship faulty codes .... what happens if that person does not use the internet only 1 day a week how is he supposed to know he never just read it wrong this is ridiclious.

Hi Can someone help me, i purchased mass affect 2 and used the code on the websight, it then said turn off and on my 360 but nothing has happened its regestered on the websight bit it won,t work on my 360, ive tried emailing EA support and got nothing back, not to mention the EA support sight won,t let me login for no apparent reson lol

I have the same issue i ordered a physical disk from newegg.com and my code was invalid i called tech support but ended up waiting 60 minutes with no support and that blew a whole bunch of minutes off my monthly limit, so i went on chat but they refused to help because of that fact that the retailer didn't include a "proof of purchase"
