Well, we've all heard that it was not even halfway done, perchaps It should be enclosed in armor like other reapers? Not showing human skeleton to everyone around lol

And that "not destroying platforms from the start" issue... Remember - Incomplete! THAT CLEARLY MEANS - RETARDED REAPER! It's not his fault that he was retarded. It was Shepard's fault!

Well at least that is one explanation. I can definitely agree that the last boss was retarded....on mutliple levels.

Ya the fight could have been better but it was explained well and it makes even more sense when you consider that even the Collector leader was just being controlled by a Reaper (Harbinger). And fighting even that thing would have been like all the other Harbinger fights(cover, warp, repeat).

This fight was also very important because it explained why the Reapers harvest life. Combine that with seeing a colonist melted down for goo to power that thing just makes it that much more frightening which is important since this is supposed to be the "darker" second chapter.

It would be nice to know why they needed humans ALIVE. Why not just put them in some kind of meat grinder on the place of abduction lol ? Some reason behind that or just for additional stunning effect while visiting collectors base?

It was silly looking, but I felt they validated it within the fiction and it made for a good ending fight. But it really only felt like it was there so they could end this middle installment of the trilogy with a bang. Unlike other media, high end commercial video games have yet to mature to the point where their endings don't have to be punctuated with an epic boss fight or a big explosion.

People being squished too goo is so redundent now in Science Fiction. Remember 'War of the World's'. People where squashed down to goo as a food substance. Its a old concept

That's not really a good example, to quote something made like 30-40 years ago... Any MODERN games/movies utilizing that idea? Ummm... Not really? Besides, I don't really think that you can SHOCK today's gamers/sc-fi lovers.

It's a fitting opponent if your character is called Kyle.

It was explained in the game, but I still couldn't take it seriously. The desired reaction was: "Oh my god, a Human Reaper!", instead it played out like "He-hee, Arnold"

There were two version of 'War of the World's'. True Tom Cruise is not a good actor in my opinion but he did a modern version a few years ago of the movie with the same ideas and concepts as the original. It still stand's crusader, that squashing people to goo is an old concept. Old Sci-Fi movies made 30-40 years ago are known as cult classics these days don't you know?

i completely agree, then again given bioware's slavish devotion to continuity and detail in the rest of me2 i think we can allow them one giant terminator with lazer eyes.

The end boss was ridiculous. I almost one-shotted him with Cain right between the eyes. And why would anyone especially the Reapers used human shape? There's no advatage being big ass Terminator floating in space. Not to mention that even B-movies compared to that look damn well and original.

Wait the eyes were the weak spot? I thought it was the chest cavity, took me forever to kill the stupid thing because of that. Also I wish we could have fought the "real" collector leader at some point.

I don't think so.  I think it was easy and kinda corny but as far as the concept of a human reaper, considering the storyline, it isn't all that farfetched.  Think about it.  As we all know the Collectors are some of the remaining protheans. They're big insectoids.  Look at the current Reapers.  They resemble insects.  So we can presume that they were created by all of the protheans that once lived in our milky way galaxy.  It's the same with the human reaper.  They are going to capture all of the humans and turn them into reapers. And leave some alive but indoctrinated to collect the next organic species.

Agreed. I would have preferred that to the terminator.

I made the assumption that the collector leader was the one that was in the station at the end and Harbinger was a reaper just using him.  I could be wrong but at the end there was a hologram of a reaper telling the collecter how he failed, etc.

Why does everyone assume that you can't have a human-shaped being that flies in space? It doesn't have to be aerodynamic - space is a vacuum. Space vehicles don't have to be shaped like jets to be efficient.

The reason behind the shape and behind the "collection" of humans was explained from square one. They're collecting human genetic material in order to build a hybrid reaper, most likely because humans have shown the most diversity and adaptability among all species they've encountered. They figure human traits would work well with undying bodies and ultimate power.

The gray sludge is a little unclear, at least as far as how it's used. My interpretation was that the genetic material was being used to build the reaper in order to get a more complete version of the human genome, making the human reaper ultimately the best part of every human ever contained in a body that is both organic (for adaptability) and mechanic (for strength/longevity).
