Harbinger and his "I AM ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL." "I AM ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL." "RELEASING CONTROL." "I AM ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL." "THIS HURTS YOU." "I AM ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL." "DIRECT CONTROL." "THIS HURTS YOU." "I AM ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL." got old very fast. It will be very hard to take him seriously after all of his cliche evil speak.
This.
Sovereign was far more intimidating.
Sadly all this cliched nonsense from Harbinger just makes it clear that your only playing a game. With Sovereign I was in awe, and it brought a cretain degree of epicness to the game.
I agree. Sovereign was a rare and powerful thing to behold in ME1. Unlike most villians, he did not make you take a seat whilst he explained his master plan. Nor did he react in any way emotionally or otherwise when Shepard is all, "I Will Stop You!"
The final reveal, where Harbinger release his control on the Collector General Guy, only for him to look towards the impending explosion, actually had me feeling sorry for him. A charater though annoying vocally, installed a feeling of power, but in the end was nothing but a pawn to something truly, powerful.
To bad this was lost in the dialouge, like others have said. I'm sure as soon as he released control of the collectors he turned around to his Reaper friends and said, "And I'd have got away with it too! if it weren't for those meddling kids!"
