It used to be that no crpgs had locked areas; you could always return to an area at any point in the game. Now locked areas, like Lothering, Ostagar, and Arl Howe's estate in DA:O, are fairly common (even tough there are in-game reasons for locking these areas, I don't find those reasons persuasive). Not being able to return to areas you've already been to means missing out on some quests as well as on loot in locked chests your rogue can't pick yet. Locking Ostagar is especially annoying since it's locked twice! Does anyone out there really like locked areas? I'm hoping that DA2 doesn't have any.
