At first, whenever I tried to save the game, it wouldn't do anything. NOTE: The save option was not blanked out, and was during the hospital scene where you have to first pick up a pistol. To check if the game was saving, I would click on load game and nothing was there.

After a full re-install, the game now lets me save, however not properly. My save files now appear when I try to save the game again manually, and also show in the games folder where the game is installed, however when I try to load the game, it shows nothing.

I have read other people having this problems on GameFAQs but have not found a fix yet. Hope you guys on the official forums can help me because I am dying to play this game, but don't want to start properly until I have the honour of being able to save and load!
