Followed the fix for the corrupting DLC issue (the one that says go back to a previous save that had everything).
Only question I have is....Is there any way to minimize future corrupting of game saves? Doesn't appear that anything was done to actually resolve the issue in the work around, so what's to stop future saves from being corrupted? Or is it going to be one of slow torture....play 3 hours, reload to save from 2 hours ago....lather rinse repeat?

Play "Logged Out" and only login after playing/saving when you want to upload your achievements.

The game gives me a message that I can't play the 'Premium Content' unless logged in (I'm going to assume that means Shale can't come with me and I can't do any of the downloads) Maybe I'm wrong? (Crosses fingers and starts to pray...)

It can't be completely resolved unless Bioware releases a patch for the underlying problem.
Best guess as to why at the moment is that its the game not handling the loss of connection to the server well,when either the server is busy or the users internet connection is spotty.
If you have a spotty internet connection, and this seems to be happening frequently to you, the best advice I have is to just play logged out. Honestly the cool factor of having your characters update to the site is outweighed by the hassle of having to fix your game if DLC gets corrupted.
But on an individual user basis it doesn't seen to happen all that often to each individual user, so its hard to pin down exactly what the root cause is.
My other advice is to always have a prominent piece of DLC gear on one of you party, and keep an eye on it. One of my party is pretty much always wearing the Helm of Honnleath, and everytime I load a save I make sure its still there. If you save often, and watch your DLC for disappearence (particularly on loading a save), then hopefully you won't lose too much progress if you have to go back to an earlier save.

Make sure to manually log out in the game. It should allow you access to your "Premium Content" if its been properly authorized. Make sure that your CD key is stored in the registry properly.
