I have been having a lot of bugs in my version, pix elating and such and probably 3 or 4 crashes... I am hoping they get something soon

The patch worked for my physical copy, having none of your issues. Might it have something to do with you guys using the same Windows version. I mean, I use Vista 32 and it worked well. Are you using a 64bit system, or XP or WIndows 7? Just so we can narrow down the problem

As far as I am aware, this game has no memory leak. However it does use an extensive amount of memory and people with 2gb of memory or less will find themself with most of there memory in use.

I dont get the issues that everyone has...fresh install of Win7 x64 on and Acer 8930g with 9700m gt.



So no high end card, and intel t9400 chip (nothing special) and I havent had a single issue yet other than a 2 second freeze during a conversation movie...No complaints here!!



No patching yet but we shall see!

What the game has is memory leak like symptoms, after about an hour it starts to become unplayable, sometimes it lasts longer if you dont get into alot of fights and less if you are fighting alot of battles.



I've tried a number of things and so far nothing at all has helped. I'm still restarting the game about every hour.

Didn't fix the video black screen of death hardware crash. Still can't play it more than a couple minutes before system dies.



Presuming EA tech support still wants us to clear our Temp files.

Well the only problem I've had wasn't addressed in the patch, and that's the chest texture on the dragon blood armor is broken, it's just a black space. It's nothing game breaking, just annoying because it looks really cool but i don't get to see it.

Is there a way to get the patch without steam? I have a physical copy of the game, it's not at all playable (black screen), and Steam isn't accepting my product code.

So far I'd rate this game a 0 on a scale of 1-10, since I can't actually SEE the game. Just a few pixels. I'm hoping it's better than that.

Funny - I don't need any patch to make the game easier - I would like to see the DLC stuff patched. Why am I paying for sth that I don't get??

Right, well here is my second post in as many days. I was hoping to be knee deep in DarkSpawn entrails by now..and last night I was well on my way. Just after I accepted the quest to join the Grey Wardens and was outside killing some Darkspawn the game froze, I quickly saw the blue screen and then windows recovered and told me that DAO has stopped unexpectedly and has to close. Well it was late 11:30pm Central time here. So I grabbed my wife off the couch and went to bed.



I got up bright and early this morning, checked the forums to see if anything has been resolved ith the Downloadable Content that I cannot access or get the game to download. That's when I see there is a patch...I read further and get the link posted on the 1st page of this particular string. Download the 13MB patch and install. Double click the DAO icon on my desktop and the splash screen comes up as usual..hit play.. my cursor turns into an hour glass DAO music still playing..and there it sits..music stops after a few mins..but the game never starts.



End all: No downloaded content available to download, website cannot redeem my content codes, patch for game now causes the game not to run. In my book that's 3 for 3. Hmm, I am perplexed.

Still no memory leak fix. Hope they get around to doing that soon.

Any word for those of us who used the patch, and cannot get pass the launcher screen? Clicking the PLAY button does nothing.
