Has anyone been able to kill the High Dragon during the Sacred Ashes Quest?
If so, what level were you? and what was your group makeup. I've tried several times, and can't seem to get it past 50% health. I'm not sure if its possible.
**Spoiler** HIgh Dragon

Well I avoided reading your post, but I had to ask. Why isn't this under the spoiler topic. This is General Discussion. Please be considerate and move it. Thanks

Try registering your game - need this to be able to post there.

Can't register a ps3 game, as they did not come with registration codes.

Hmm sounds like they need to look into that. Well in that case I don't blame you. At least you let us know there's a spoiler and that's appreciated. :-)

Party setup. Leliana (bard archer), Morrigan (shapeshifter heal), Sten (warrior dps) and me-self (Warrior tank) All chars. at lvl 13. NORMAL diff.
I KO'ed at 50% but was able to use Sten as bait. Made him run around the dragon taking damage. Kept him fully healed with Morrigan and health poultices (used about 10) Leliana damaged the dragon the whole fight through with ice arrows. Used blizzard on the dragon, for some reason it gives fire resistance when you are in it.... Fight took roughly around five minutes.

Defeated him first attempt at 15-16, was easy though I know that's due to my level. Perhaps I will do that quest sooner next time to see if it's a challenge.

I did it at level 12-13. The party setup was Sten, Alistair, Wynne (healer) and the main char (mage). There is a 2-slot 2H "dragonhunter" sword that can be found, but I cannot remember where atm. Also building my main char. in ice/glyphs/hex helped a lot. In the end I think Sten and Wynne were barely alive.
I am not sure if it is feasible to wait a few levels because of the encounter scaling system.

Yep.
The ramp is your freind. No doubt. Keep your mages at the back. Bring along both mages, you will need them.
Move one melee to the front, one to the back. Yes he kicks out, but it's better then both Melee's getting hit by specials all the time. Also I believe you get flank damage to.
Blood Dragon Armor helps a heap also.

I managed it at level 20. Tried it earlier at about level 12 when doing the quest but got killed easily. I could of done it between 12 and 20 but I hadn't worked out a decent tactic the first time I tried it, and my tanks gear was awful so he died too fast for me to do very much.

I did it with Alistair tanking, Wynne on heals/CC, Morrigan DPS/CC, and my character (2H warrior Berserker/Champion). Was a decent challenge, but not too hard. Only had to use a few potions. My party was level 14/15 at the time.

Did that at lvl12 with Wynne, Sten, Alistair and me (CC Mage). Sten had the "Dragonhunter" sword, you can get it in the Circle Tower. I built so much threat that the dragon kept jumping all around the place trying to get me, lol. Was easy overall, maybe 6-7 healing salves and 2 lyrium potions.

hes easy, unless your stupid and let the healer,Ranged, casters stand close to him while tank is dealing with him.
Keep ranged chars at max distance and he wont be a problem.

Me shield sword warrior, Morrigan heals pewpew, Leliana bow pewpew, Zevran lying dead after 10 seconds.
Level 12-13, did a few tries because Zevran kept dying got tired of him and just continued with three chars took some time but wasnt very hard, trick was to keep range chars at range (duh) and tank topped off and always having regen tickin on him.

indeed, I did it at level 12, but the dragon straight up ate one of my toons, and I had nothing I could do to stop her.

at 12 its pretty easy once you get it down.. i had tank in front.. 2 melee on either side of her, and as log as morrigan can Cone of Cold her every time she has it.. and uses pots when needed.. it was pretty straight forward

Level 12s can take her down easily on hard.
Then again, I did have some 70 health potions.

I can't remember what level my characters were. However I had to kite her around. My group was Morrigan, Leliana, myself dualwielding warrior and Alistair as tank. I taunted her with alistair in every opportunity and let the other three use range attacks. Alistair didn't even hit her for once. However in order to keep the aggro on him whenever the the ability was ready I got close and used it on her. If I had Wynne at the time I could have done a direct tanking. However make sure that you have shield defense on your tank. It wasn't as complicated but rather a long battle.

I was level 13, my companions: Alistair, Morrigan & Winne
I found it pretty easy, but that probably was because I was playing "easy" mode!

Level 14, Wynne, Sten, Alistair and pc (tank), made sure that Wynne's tactic was set to swallow a lyrium potion as soon as her mana dropped below 50% and took plenty of healing potions but tbh didn't really need the potions as kept Wynne out of the way and healing everyone as soon as their health dropped, took a while but no-one got knocked out.

I did it, non-cheese way too.
Alistair tanking, me as dagger rogue, Wynne healing, and Shale in obelisk mode.
