Not sure if this helps but the way I beat her was using the Cone of Cold spell from my Mage and Morrigan.
Freezes her in place so she cannot attack, let my tanks and casters pummel her with spells and hits, once she unfreezes repeat Cone of Cold and repeat the cycle until she is down.

I just beaten him today and I had with my party was Alistair, Wynne, and Morrigan. I not sure with your case with the not so paused game play since I am on the PC, but I keep pausing mine to do a bit of micro-managing with characters. I really would recommend having the shield expertise for your character (since your character is a rogue doesn't matter on this part) and Alistair. That way you can now have Shield Wall prevent the High Dragon from doing knockback.
With Morrigan I had Cone of Cold which freezes the Dragon for a few seconds enough time to have the tanks drink a potion as well as getting heals from Wynne. The Heal spell to be used as backup just in case Wynne was had her heals on a cooldown timer. Frost of the weapons to do more damage and Winter's gasp since it does ice.
With Wynne I made sure I had Lifeward during those times where the dragon picks you up and chews on you. It helps when the character is reaching low level health it heals them automatically.
With Alistair make sure he has on the Blood Dragon Armor since it has some good stats on it. Bring a whole lot health and mana pots because you are going to need a lot of mana and health in this fight. Try completing the Circle of the Magi segment there is some places that can give you an attribute increase in the mission.
I hope that all made sense because I typed this half asleep.

This is a really cheap way, but I placed three of my characters far from the center of the mountain but still within range to use ranged attacks. Used one warrior as a tank in the middle. Made everyone hold position and let the ranged attacks wear the dragon down while Morrigan continued to heal the warrior in the middle. Made the warrior run back and forth in front of the dragon, hitting occassionally, but mainly keeping the dragon distracted while the dragon slowly died from ranged attacks.

Like someone posted earlier, use a tank and have cone of cold and paralyze constantly running. Electricity works pretty good during CoC cooldown.

I was able to beat it on the 2nd attempt. My party consisted of 3 Mages (Morrigan, Wyrne and myself) as well as Alistair. I just scattered my party members around it to avoid his aoe fire breath and knockdowns. Also all excluding Wyrne healing abilities, both Morrigan and Myself had one heal spell to keep each other up, and I pretty much have only 2 healing pots, and a few mana pots. The fight was challenging, but wasn't as hard as half of the other battle I had in the game, specially against the blood mages in one of Denerim side quests.

1. Taunt with alistar
2. Pick up force field on morrigan/wynne
3. Cast force field on alistar
4. Good game!
Rock salve/Warming Balm also work really well if you don't have force field.

I beat him on Nightmare with a level 14 PC.
Bassicaly, Wynne healing, Alistar tanking, and Morrigan nuking/backup heals.
My rogue got agro and died in like, the first 5 seconds.
Alistar died at about 20%, Morrigan died at about 10, and Wynne finished it off lol.
Also, I just set alistar in the middle, and my mages Far off to either side.
Bring LOTS of potions (I used about 10 or so health pots. Mana pots arnt realy critical, but they help I suspect, I forgot mine.)

Also, get the Juggernaught armor from the Forest zone for Alistar. It takes a little while, but it has like 20% fire resist on it. +healing effect gear is nice as well.

I had Leliana solo her, just give her wade's superior drake armor (+70% fire res) and whatever other +res gear you can scrounge up and she takes little to no damage at range. A bit cheep, but not really any more so that cold + paralyze or taunt + force field.

I just beat him W/OUT cone of cold, but... lots of potions, lol. wynne and morg are arcane warriors. Had my main war tank in dead legion armor, wynne in the dlc dragon plate armor, morg in wades superior leather, leilana archer rogue in wade leather. morg used 10 lyriums and my main used 10 healing. I wonder if anyone DIDN"T use a bunch of potions. Might have worked out better with cone of cold I guess.

Get some Fire resist items and as much gear as you can. Try and build a ranged group and bleed the fight out.

Beat it without paralyze or cone of cold. Used Wynne, Shale, and Lelianna. My character is a Dalish Warrior with Warden's Armor (Silverite)
I basically chugged potions and spammed heals.

Well what is killing you?
The fight is no different than other fights against dragons; your going to get knocked back lots so make sure to keep HP high to prevent getting killed while laying down. Make sure you have good fire resist to reduce damage from it's fire attacks. If your a DW rogue make sure you have paralyze runes in both your weapons. With a grandmaster and master paralyze rune my rogue + wynne were able to beat the dragon in nightmare. Other two just stood back and watched as they'd just get in the way and use up wynne's mana. If you need a breather use force field also this is a great fight to use telekinetic weapon buff.
Also use pots often to supplement Wynne's healing. I really don't recommend having multiple people in melee, dragon seems to do start picking people up and chewing on them until they die when that happens.

I went into the battle with her with Morrigan, Alistair and Shale. Morrigan casting mostly offensive spells, with Alistair, myself and Shale just doing melee damage. About half way thorugh the Dragon's HP, I was down to my main character. I just kept using shield wall, melee with Starfang and lots of health poultices and took her the rest of the way down by myself.

Easiest way: 2 ranged dps, wynne healing, and a taunt tank that wynne or another mage puts force field on after every taunt. Fire resists on the tank to minimize the number of force fields you need and keep their damage in the fight.
Other than that, any group of 4 will work, if you set them up properly. If you want to use 4 melee, be ready to put fire resist and rock salves on them all, and have a LOT of health poultices.

Easiest way is to get Alistair to tank, preferably using taunt and shield wall. You should also try and get the best and heaviest armor possible. Blood armor works, or the Wardens Commander armor from Wardens Keep if you have that.
You got Wynne in your party so that's a good start. Not sure how you've trained her, but she should start out with heal, regenerate and group heal. Best way to make this work is to make sure that you're not wasting any mana. Use regenerate on Alistair and try and use it every time drops off. Just remember that the heals duration is longer than the cooldown. Then top him off with heal/group heal. Also make sure that Wynne is pretty far away. Heals have a really long range so no point having her close to the combat.
Leliana is another great character for this fight. Just place here far away like Wynne, but try and spread everyone out so if the dragon decides to send cast a fireball on any of your range combatants you won't take unnecessary damage.
Lastly your DW rogue. Now it depends on how well it goes, but easiest is to just give him a rogue and let him stand back like Leliana. But you can also keep him close for more damage but that will require more babysitting on your end. The dragons in the game have a lot of AoE knockbacks, but try to place your rogue close to the front leg, that tends to give you the most time attack and you can backstab from that angle weirdly enough.
That's all I got so far. Hope it helps

I actually don't go through a lot of potions on the dragon...
Misdirection Hex and Death Hex on the dragon, have Wynne on Healing duty, Alistair tank with tactics to Shield Bash is somebody is grabbed. Leliana just shoots things. Fling your favorite party spells with Vulnerability hex on the dragon. You can also seed the area it lands in with Tempest, Death Cloud, Blizzard, or Inferno, I suggest Death Cloud/Death Hex combo.
I did have an interesting time with Morrigan using Forcefield on the Dragon, gave us all a break to get stamina/mana back.
Oh, here is something for you for the lulz. Somebody mentioned a while back on how they killed the Dragon before it could attack. They figured out where she would land. (yes it is a she, read your codex) They would then lace the area with a load of high end traps. BOOM, no more dragon. I think they said twenty traps. Easy fight in Nightmare.

Attack it from the side with your tank or she will grab you into her mouth and at this point you're going to either lose a character or waste a lot of resource to keep him alive.
Don,t go behind either

I like to use only 1 tank melee, Wynne, Liliana, and me (mage) next run through with rogue will equip Bow.
Set all the ranged on the ramp. Make sure the tank Shale/Alistair has the head faced away from the ramp.
Hammer away.. force field the tank every now and then, cone of cold etc

All used dw warrior (me), alistair tanking, Liliana (deeps), and Wynne Healing. I just controlled wynne and kept everyone topped off while everyone else went crazy on the dragon. I did the same thing with the archdemon and it made it super easy in both cases.
