It really helps if you have two mages one to heal and one to do damage. Make sure the damage mage has cone of cold and keep the dragon frozen for the entire fight...you win! :)

I really cannot believe how so many people use cheap tactics to beat this boss which is essentially a tank and spank.

I play on nightmare, and always only have 1 mage, a tank and 1 ranged dps and 1 melee dps. I like to play balanced groups. On the pull, have your main char stand next to the tank. Split the ranged up in different areas around the tank. Use the horn, as soon as she lands, use taunt from your tank (if you dont have taunt then you can just stop reading, cause you are pretty clueless already). Keep heroic defense and regenerate on the tank at all times.)

Start dps, remember to watch your melee dps health as he/she will take damage every 10 seconds or so. Make sure your tank has a high physical resistance (if its not shale)- easily obtained through socketting 3 Hale Runes in a weopon. This will turn the grabs into a joke. Make sure you have specced your tanks properly. No (unless its Shale) constitution is NOT a good tank stat. Use heals on the tank if he/she takes a spike damage. Make your melee dps use health pots.

Fight is really simple, the only factors I can think of on how people struggle on this fight is:

a) Tank has been specced stupidly. Aka. you have put points in constitution and have a low dexterity.

B) Low physical resistance so the tank almost always dies in the grab.

c) You are not prepared, have few potions, undergeared etc.

d) You send your melee dps in to fight when hey on low health, instead of healing them up first then sending them in. (DPS dying in the fight makes the fight longer, more chance of deaths)

Perhaps its just me being an old school raiding veteran, but I dont see any need to cheese this fight and I don't see anything difficult about it. But if you really are struggling, try lowering the difficulty first before using cheesy skilless tactics such as FF and CoC chaining. Much more satisfying and you learn alot more from using proper skill than just cheesing your way through a game.

So basically, using the spells the game gives you to dick about with is... Wrong. Thanks LynxAQ for showing us why I tend to hate people like you. It was fine until you decided to condescend and tell people that doing something else is wrong.
