Honestly I was kind of hoping that could hook miranda and jacob up, if you palyed ME Galaxy it was kind of implied that there was a little bit of an interest between them at the end.

Every time I play new bioware game, I am always amazed at the romance subplots. And I have to say Mass effect 2 sets the bar for this. For me, Tali was the best romance plot in the game the whole "I need to show you what's underneth this helmet " Call me a sucker for romance but it was very heartwarming
It was...it was very heart warming and everything up until the "love scene" had me completely captured. The writing was spot on and I love how organic if felt. But the "love scene" itself was horrible. I had high high hopes of finally seeing Tali. But her character model never changes. Heck, Shepard's face doesn't even change when he sees Tali's face. If we are supposed to be Commander Shepard then we too should have been able to see what he saw!
But then again we come to the bigger issue. Bioware has taken a huge step back since ME1 when it comes to those love making scenes. Partly due to Fox News and their inability to tell the news correctly. The rest of the gaming community laughed at them...but it seems some how it got to Bioware. Dragon Age (which was supposed to be a complete mature game) and now Mass Effect 2 both suffer from the "love making while fully clothed" syndrom. Sometimes it's more like a Leave it to Beaver kind of thing. We see them kiss, they lay down, and we cut to a window sill while the curtains flap in the wind. I'm not asking for porn mind you...just realism. The realism we saw in ME1.
So other then the relationship wrap-up points I felt this game was a ten out of ten. It just kills me when it is one of the most emotional moments in the game and it feels more like this scene was made with a 10 yr old in mind.

Either way, I've been unfaithfull as Male Shep and remained faithfull; without any difficulty, on Female Shep

But I'm a Garrus fan to the core and they handled the romantic aspect of it perfectly. No one can say that there isn't emotion with Garrus. To me he's one of the most emotional and passionate characters in the game.
Whether he's angry about what someone has done, or he's nervous and eager to please, he's always showing emotion.

I served in the Army for 6 years, and was never really attracted to any female soldiers. Just something about "physically" tough women that is off-putting to me, in ME1 Ashley was exactly in that mold, so I never considered her. So Tali was the only real choice for my Shep in ME2, she was innocent, smart, loved shep, and has that whole forbidden fruit aspect with her..."situation". Although it didnt stop me from having the freebie roll in the hay with Jack and developing tali and Miranda prior to making a final decision Miranda's ice queen attitude except during personal chats still annoyed the crap out of me, and jack was too much of a fixer upper to consider.
Seriously if I had complete control over the game, I probably would have shot miranda in the face at the shuttle bay in the cerberus complex, and went with jacob to amass my crew, and extended a finger to the illusive man.
