While ME1 had hidden save games that were generated when you complete the game, ME2 appears to allow you to use any saved game you make after completing the game as an importable save when playing with New Game+

Would it be a safe assumption that any saved game that you make post-suicide mission for your character can be used as an import into ME3?  Meaning, I could finish the game, level to 30 and then import a level 30 character into ME3? 

Or I could break it off with a LI that I slept with prior to the final mission, romance one of the other LIs and import with them as a LI instead?  It just appears that there is a lot more flexibility to the impending import process this time around.  Unless I am completely crazy....
