I entered my redemption code from my pre-ordered DA:O in the social network, and it worked alright, and it's now downloaded and appears in the downloaded list in game.  But it isn't auto-installing, nor can I find the .dazip to use the DAUpdater.exe thing to install it.  I've also tried using the Config tool and hitting Repair -> Clear Download Cache, but it's still not re-downloading or installing.

What process must I follow to get The Stone Prisoner installed correctly?

Thanks in advance,
- Aeshyn

Which tab in the Downloadable content screen is it showing up in? The middle tab or the right tab? if it's the in the right tab, it should show up in game if there isn't any warning about being unauthorized. (I'm assuming this is PC)

This is PC, sorry. it's labelled as 'Downloaded' in the middle tab named 'Download progress', but it isn't appearing in the Installed Content.

UPDATE: I checked the DAUpdaterLog and found this:

"11/6/2009 1:46 PM - Install Error for: C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\DAUpdater\\Data\\DAO_PRC_CP_2_1.0.dazip, Error: Couldn't load manifest file (could be bad dazip archive)"

So I opened DAUpdater again and located that file, hit 'Install selected' and it seemed to install this time. Don't know why it didn't install whilst in-game.

Thank you for the fast response though, :).

Kind regards,

- Aeshyn

Sorry for a double-post, I just wanted to ask how do I know if it installed correctly? Is Shale automatically added into the party screen, or is he found during my adventure, or... it's just that I haven't received any indication that he was added into the game (although I wasn't in the game whilst installing), so I have no idea if it worked or not.

I have a similar question. I managed to install it after starting the game as administrator, but it now says the Stone Prisoner, my Memory band and the Feral Wolf Charm are unauthorized with my account... and I can assure you I redeemed the codes correctly (I was logged on this account).

Do you know why it's doing that?

(Also, I have the memory band in my game (even though it says unauthorized, go figure...), but now I have multiplying Formari tomes that I can't use... This is just weird.)

Does anyone know why it says some of my DLC is unauthorized? =/

Mine quickly flashed up saying "Unauthorized" on like 4 of my DLC items, but then it disappeared. It's odd in general because after I added the redeeming code and such yesterday it's all been fine, it's just The Stone Prisoner that is acting up. It's saying in my profile I've added it, so I have no idea why I can't see any quest or map marking indicating where to get Shale.

It says The Stone Prisoner is installed but it's still in the Download progress tab, and it's not disappearing if I clear the Download cache through the Config utility thing.

What should I do, Owen?

Well, at least I know you have exactly the same problem as I do. :P

Is yours the normal pre-order edition or CE? Mine is the normal version, just to clarify if it helps solve this dilemma.

I've got the normal version too, on the PC.

I'm trying a re-install of them again using DAUpdater.exe, then I'll clear the Download cache again and cross fingers, this is a real hassle for me as I never purchase anything online so the only way I could get Shale again if no one helps me would be to pay another 100$ to EB games and get another copy, which would then also render the rest of my pre-order gifts useless as I'd need another account, so there's no way I can do that.

In the meantime I'm going to keep Google searching for solutions whilst waiting for an answer from Owen.

Alright, I finally got it working. Here's what I did:

1) Disable all your DLC.

2) Log out of the game.

3) Run the DAUpdater.exe, select all the files in the Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Bioware/Dragon Age/DAUpdater/Data.

4) Select all of those files that are now in the DAUpdater.exe list and hit "Install selected".

5) Open the game.

6) Log into your account.

7) Open the "Downloadable Content" menu.

8) Let it fully load, then hit the small refresh-like arrow thing next to the points.

9) Click the "Installed Content" tab and enable all the DLC (hopefully Stone Prisoner is already enabled now)

10) Load a save file (I loaded my one before leaving Lothering to enter camp, so try that save file - it was an Autosave just before I left Lothering)

I then had the message saying the quest was updated!

You should be able to log into the game and the content should become authorized again. If it doesn't, quit the game, move a file in your mydocs\\bioware\\dragonage\\settings\\ called profile.dap to your desktop (or anywhere, or rename it), log back into the game and try again. We're trying to track down where the auth errors are coming from.

I can't seem to find the DAUpdater folder you mentionned in Documents and Settings... Could the DLC be elsewhere?

Well, in my case it was the DA service not being launched automatically with the game (Vista 64) which I managed to fix by making the game executable, launcher and service all run as administrator. Worked like a charm ever since, never again had to manually launch the service (which was still somewhat unreliable as I occasionally lost it while playing and had to start it again).Image IPB

Sorry starting up in a old post like this. But I got a really problem when it comes to the stone prioner DLC. I added the code (before I hadd Installed the game) and now I can't even find it in the "download avible content" screen in-game? Is there somehow to renew the code or something? Or is there somehow to get this to work?
