Ive been stuck with this stupid incendary grenade and Id like to try out the other....say you can change at any time but I cant find the option
how do you change the "loyalty" powers

You need to pick up other grenade upgrades, there is high explosive for example. Go to your inventory screen and select it as an upgrade on your grenade screen.
Just make sure you found another grenade upgrade first. You can pick them up quite regularly or you can buy them on the Citadel.
