The rule of forums: Whiners are attracted to them and will potentially outnumber good opinions just because those who are satisfied don't waste their time here. Thus the outcome of this poll is even more amusing ^^

... That sentance needs a comma somewhere, I just dont know where.

I'm still wondering why this thread hasn't been attacked by the "we are the majority!" people yet.

Because the vast majority complainers [Kalfear, etc] can't refute the evidence in the poll. It's still a small sample size but it also pretty much shuts down the claims that "the majority of the hardcore RPGers hate ME2" and so, well, why post here when you'll just get stomped by the facts? >.>

The majority of gamers enjoy playing video games.

The majority of humans enjoy whining about stupid ****.

The majority of gamers are also human.

Does that help a little? I'm all about helping, you know.

Oh I'm sure that guy will be in here eventually and call us all pre-pubescent shooter kiddies. That is his favorite insult after all.

I just never get why people are desperate to prove that their opinion is a majority especially over something like a video game. No ones judging you if you like Mass Effect 1 better than 2 or vice-versa. Seems like we'll find peace in the middle east long before we can find it on these boards.

@ Unda

It's a pure "out of spite" thing for me. =) That and I find all this to be really, really funny. People are getting all worked up over the most pointless things.

I think people just like to defend their stances. Which is totally fine. The issue seems to be that there are people on both sides of the fence who insist on cramming their "stance" into everyone's face. Overzealous fans and pendantic detractors both. Though I think the most obnoxious element on the boards right now are the self proclaimed "True/Hardcore RPGers" speaking for the masses.

Ahh, gotta love release month on official game boards eh? :D

It's a great game. It didn't blow me out of the water like ME1 did though. Nothing can replicate that first experience I guess, but it felt a little stripped down. More controlled. Despite having two discs, the game felt smaller. I voted not disapointed anyway. I just hope they fluff the third one up and don't think the perfect reviews mean a perfect game.

Thank you for the fair and well stated input though! See - no one who's in love with the game and 100% behind it can argue with this kind of feedback. It's fair, it provides an insight into ways to adjust/fix things going into ME3. It's just a pity we don't see more feedback like this.

ME2 ROCKS! Just wish they added a better armor upgrade system like ME1, also i think they need to have more armors.

I think the problem is that the detractors feel like people ignore their problem or opinion unless they sensationalize it, and in some cases, they truly believe it because of everyone stating such in previous posts.  When they are confronted with this, they immediately become defensive and call their opposition "Fanboi", and point out the multitude of posts that have problems with the game.

Then, you have the people who actually enjoy it, or don't have a strong negative opinion or problem.  A good majority of them do not post, because of the defensive attitude of the detractors, and the fact that they do not feel the need to voice their opinion as loudly, because they are often quite comfortable with what they have.  On this side, however, you still have quite a few people that feel they need to sensationalize their position, whether to combat the overblown position of the detractors, or to simply hilight their point.  Unfortunately, people who do this often go too far as well, and bring credence to the detractors who label them as "Fanboi".

Anyway, just like in politics, it's all about trying to get people to see things your way, and the more sensational the speech, the more likely someone will hear it.  This is why I like threads like this one that take a more logical approach, using a middle ground, to simply show the reality of the situation.

...now, if only people would speak logically and respectfully to each other...   :o
