Does anyone have a list of where to get all the backapcks that are available? I'd rather not miss out on any more like the ones in Osagar...

Quartermaster in Osagar

Dalish Camp, Varathorn's Goods (2nd Store)

These are the only locations in Dragon Age that I know of that sell backpacks:
Ostagar - Purchased from Quartermaster
Party Camp - Purchased from Bodahn Feddic
Brecilian Outskirts (Dalish Camp) - Purchased from Varathorn
Denerim Market District - Purchased from Gorim

I got one off the quartermaster in The Circle's tower.

you can get 2 from Quartermaster in Osagar one before you go in to the wildes and one after

I bought a backpack from the vendor at Ostagar before I went to the wilds. When I came back at night, he had another one waiting for me. Bug or no? Either way was nice, since it costed me less than a sovereign.

Ah Got the 2nd Bag in Ostagar and couldnt remember how. Good to know it 2nd is after the Wilds.

I think the backpack vendors vary depending on how many backpacks you have. I know my first playthrough, I didn't buy either of the backpacks from Ostagar as I didn't have enough money. When I went to Lothering, the guy in the tavern had one for sale, so I bought it.



On my second playthrough, I did buy the two backpacks from the quartermaster at Ostagar. When I went to Lothering, the guy in the tavern didn't have a backpack for sale.



Perhaps it was a bug.

The availability of backpacks seemed to depend on what you have already bought. As mentioned, if you buy the 2 backpacks in Ostagar then there isn't one available in Lothering. Also worth noting that there is a limit of 125 spaces in your inventory, and more backpacks available even if you hit this limit. So your last backpack will only give you 5 more spaces and anymore after that are wasted (at least on my pc version).

Interesting. I didn't see a backpack in Lothering either (bought the two in Ostagar). What price was it for sale in Lothering? I actually went back to an old save to get the 2nd back-pack in Ostagar that I missed!

He did not have one when I first got to the Dalish Camp and even after siding with the Dalish he still doesn't have one.  Anyone know why?

If I'm not able to buy this backpack from the Dalish Camp, will I be able to max out at 120?  I'm playing the 360 version.  I have bought one backpack in Ostagar (because I didn't know you could buy two), one from the vender at the party camp, and one from the Circle of Magi.  I'm at 100 right now.

The vendors upgrade their inventory at a certain point.  Varathorn won't have the backpack until he upgrades his inventory.  Same with Gorim.
