The problem is not your advice being effective or not. It's a viable placebo, but doesn't solve the problem. Not everyone is willing to spend half of their playtime with the horrible scanning game. This not to mention that when people see the problem most of them will already be bottlenecked, or near to it.

"complaining" isn't always a bad thing. This should be considered a gamebreaking issue by Bioware, and patched. A gaming world that completely runs out of money before the end of the game is simply inacceptable in an RPG.

This is, by the way, of another consequence of the "streamlined" (read: dumbed down) inventory system. In basically every other RPG in the known world, if you run out of money you can sell something to get yourelf restarted. In ME2 you can't even do that. Good job Bioware :wizard:

Well, by the end, with an imported ME1 character, I had bought everything.

There was actually nothing left to buy in any shops.

I did not use my mining fuel trick either.

That was only a level 46 import or so, I think I started with about 100k.

I had explored all areas you name it.

So I don't know how you guys are runnning out of cash.

Did you negotiate bargains etc with everyone? That definitely saved me mondo cash, about 15k per item.

but even if you run on resources don't you have to pay for those mining shuttles? Is tha cheaper than the gass cost?

Like you, on my first run through I believe I had purchased and/or found every upgrade. The only one I recall missing is the last shotgun one.

you're certain you had bought everything? including all the stuff from the Krogan scientist etc.? alone you need close to 200k creds just to get all his stuff *with* the Urdnot discount. I too have explored all areas done all N7 mission, done all but Reaper IFF mission. Still need around another 150k credits. If you walk along the citadel all you will hear is "Hi I'm commander shepherd and this is my favorite store on the citadel". I bet that comes back to bite me in ME3. I even got the discount for the Elcor on Omega by talking to the Quarian etc and smoothing things out. *with barely contained terror* you drive a hard bargain.

The pit fight awards 500 creds if you win. I need to win 40 times to be able to start the IFF mission with all upgrades. Not looking forward to that tedium. Btw my game was not an ME1 import though it was a NG+.  I didn't even bother buying the hack/bypass modules or any of that crap for you cabin and I'm still short of creds.

For this reason I think my Shepard would take Jack's suggestion and become a pirate. Just so he can pay for gas. Just a random thought on my end here
