Hmmmn. I have an elf, and it's not showing up. And a quick browse around the site---you don't see many (if any) elf pics.

There is no fix as such - we're all just waiting for word to filter down from the devs...

I opened up a case on the Bioware site and suggested that they may have a caching issue on the application server. I suspect the servers are seriously strained by the load. perhaps they shouldn't have automatically tried to contact the DAO servers every time the game is launched. An upload on demand only would greatly reduce the load on the App servers.

The way I see it, either are updates aren't getting to the database or there is an issue when the app server cache is refreshed from the DB. Some entries in this thread make me believe that there is an issue with the refreshing from database itself since things appear and disappear, particularly graphics.

Obviously, the site is getting Achievements from XBox Live since those appear even when the site says that no profiles have been updated, If the achievements were stored on the DAO database, they would be just as dodgy as the rest of the character profiles.

Hopefully we can get the developers of this beta site on this issue. They may have other fist to fry, however, just trying to keep the app servers running. I just hope they were not all laid off after project end...

problem still isn't fixed, plus my character hasn't been updated in 6 days.   :/  says she's lvl 10, but she's lvl 19 now.

I noticed that my characters created without a colored background (used the default background) were the only images that made it to this site's profile images. Refreshing is still spotty but a heck of a lot better than a week ago. Achievements aren't current and that I dont understand since that information can be refreshed from Xbox Live

There is probably still a caching issue on the Profile Application server

My avatar has never shown up on the site.

The character profile is up (just lagging behind progress somewhat, but that's to be expected). The online profile shows no character image at all.

On the 'change profile photo' option - it shows the column on the right hand side - with my char. name - but no image, just the red cross to indicate image not found.

I have tried updating the profile whilst in game and logged in - but to no avail.

Any other ideas ?

Well, I made a new character and her picture showed up. Yay! But Gemma is still pictureless.

My characters page doesn't seem to be refreshing correctly. I've deleted old characters, in game, that I didn't play and made a new one. The old characters remain, and the portrait of the new character has not rendered since creating it last night.

My character profile finally updated last night for the character "Daniel" but it still does not have a portrait.

There are known issues with the 360 and ps3 versions of the game sometimes not uploading the portrait image - a fix would have to wait for a patch.

BardHarbringer: I have checked your data on the backend, and there are no image files uploaded for your "Daniel" character, i.e. you are being affected by the above bugs in the game.

Separate from that, we deployed a fix earlier this week for situations where the game had somehow uploaded the same character multiple times and was updating the wrong version.  This fix should have gotten rid of many of the syncing issues people were seeing.

AtomicPink: I'm not seeing any image files for Gemma on the servers either - your copy of the game just isn't uploading images for some characters either.

For anyone having issues, *please* contact EA customer support via http://help.dragonage.com - they will actually be able to keep track of numbers and can convince the game team that it's actually a bug that needs fixing.

if these issues are known the why would the game team need convincing to include a fix in the patch? i would think this would already be a priority as a "known" issue. Ultimately it doesn't affect my gameplay, but i would like to have a avatar i actually like :P. as i have not had any avatars loaded for my one and only character Arcturius.

It's a known bug on the web side, but the game team needs to know how many people it is affecting and under what circumstances it occurs before they will be able to fix it.

Yes, if you want action, everyone who is having difficulty should go open a ticket on the Bioware Support site.  The more complaints they get on a particular issue, the more emphasis they are likely to put on a fix.
