Came across this yesterday; looks hopeful, I'll keep my fingers crossed as I just cannot wait to play an expansion at this point. I am on my 4th play-through and am really looking for new material. DAO is an awesome game and really hope Bioware/EA/Transgaming include the MAC version for expanions and DLCs in the future.:?

Ancient (by internet standards) news ... and the copy-n-paste ESRB listing doesn't equate to any sort of 'announcement'. IMO, *long* before any Mac version of Awakenings comes along we will at least need to hear something OFFICIAL about ... well, ANYTHING from EA / Bioware / Transgaming.

And since the last we heard was ... the initial game release, and since they don't even address the Mac version when talking about RtO anymore (they do still mention the still-delayed PS3 version) all I can assume is that the Mac Dragon Age is 'abandoned-ware' at this point ... sort of like happened with NWN2.

Wow, how about a little optimism?

NWN2 was released for MAC, be it a bit late though.

Despite the needless negativity expressed by one poster here, it certainly looks hopeful. I can't wait. Well, actually I CAN wait, for the Mac version that is. There is no way I'm going to shoot Mac gaming in the foot by buying the Windoze version.

I think the point was that NWN2 was basically left to die with no technical support or timely updates by Aspyr after the port. I bought NWN2, and let me tell you, it's barely playable on a very new machine even now.

Still, that was a different port by different companies.

OK, so you think I'm a needless pessimist ... I would say that you guys are being apologists ... or just overly optimistic - although I hope you are correct ;)

- I love Dragon Age (my review - http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=5429)

- I love gaming on the Mac

- Yet I feel that Mac gamers get second-class treatment in most cases

- Notable exception - Jeff Vogel of Spiderweb Software always releases Mac first.

- When the Mac version was released and the first RtO delay was announced, they mentioned the Mac release. Since then, while they have mentioned PC, X360 and PS3, there has been *no* mention of a Mac RtO, a Mac patch, and no official confirmation of Awakenings for Mac.

My thought is this - we already know there are significant issues with DLC and Mac *i.e. it doesn't work unless pre-installed), so until RtO is confirmed and released for the Mac, how can we expect anything else?

I keep bringing up NWN2 because there were significant issues with post-release content on PC, and that stuff *never* worked for the Mac.

It's also hard for me to be optimistic but I'll try. I really love DA:O on the mac but this whole no-news-no-announcement-no nothing really bugs me. So hopefully Awakening (also hopefully packaged with the latest patch and RtO) comes out soon.
