I just finished my first playthrough and I really want to say:
THANK YOU
for this great game.
I played DAO before, and I was rather disappointed by the linear story, no plot twists, no surprises. So after one and a half playthrough I turned back to ME1.
Apart from the "Bug" with the Helmet Toggling in Dialogs, I really have no points to criticise, of course things here and there could be refined. But well ME2, just became my all time favorite, pushing Arcanum and Baldurs Gate II from the top.
The most appealing part of the game is not the customization of your Sheppard, but the characters you meet and you can interact with. And of course, the many surprises you put into the game, removing thus a linear plot.
Please remember, for the sequel, a game will not be good because it is satisfying for everyone, a game is good because it is real fun to play it.
The strong point in my opinion is the fluent style of ME2. Due to things often critisized, it gained that advantage. (Removal of Inventory, no endless talent choices...) Probably you should shorten somehow the planetary mineral search game - but well, yeah I could skip the mining, if I wanted to.
Probably it is not so good for you, but I won't buy DAO Awakening due to the disappointment in DAO -- but I will surely wait for ME3!
Ah well anyways, I actually wanted to keep it short. So thank you.
Thank you Bioware
