2)Tali - like her voice
3)Garrus - old friend from ME1 must survive in ME3 too
4)Mordin - funny mate

2. Thane is one of the more interesting characters I think. His morality syncs up well with mine and I just like his contemplative assassin nature.
Other than that, anything goes. I would prefer it if there were less squad members in ME3. The more you have the shallower they are, generally speaking. I'd prefer half as many with deeper stories, unless BioWare can pull of both quality and quantity at the same time of course.

Agreed. So much more interesting than Ash and Liara, and the Aussie accent is a welcome perk given where I'm from.Bane_v2 wrote...
1. Miranda because she's my love interest (sorry Ash, it was fun but I traded up). If your love interest disappears for most of ME3 I'm going to be mad.
Eh... I think Thane will probably be fishfood by the time ME3 comes around. If the delay between the release is two years, that might also be the time it takes in game too (IIRC ME1 and ME2 came out two years apart, so this isn't an unreasonable conclusion to draw).2. Mordin would be an older salarian. He might not be up to the task. Zaeed is a merc, he did his job for this mission, he'll be off to track down his nemesis (if you let him go) or to do something else (I assume if you take the renegade path in his loyalty mission, you take out Vido). Samara I thought said would stick with Shepard for this mission, but implied she'd be off to do her justicar things or to retire or something.
Legion would probably do somethng gethlike. Tali might return to the quarians (if not exiled) but I hope she comes back. Garrus too.
Of the ME2 cast, I'd want Miranda, Jacob, Garrus, Tali, Grunt, and Mordin to return. Everyone else has an obvious 'out'. Then of course there's the fact that everyone on your final mission might get killed.
From a development perspective, this would be difficult to pull off.
Do you think the many squad mates we got were shallower than the smaller number in ME1? I don't think so.Other than that, anything goes. I would prefer it if there were less squad members in ME3. Hmm, after thinking about it a bit more I suppose not. In addition to the conversations on the Normandy they added the loyalty missions to the mix. I'd still rather have less squad members and a deeper story for each one, maybe because I tend to choose a squad and use them throughout the game.stofsk wrote...

In ME1 I used Ash and Tali the entire time. In ME2 I'm choosing a different squad every time because there are so many I feel like I should I guess. In doing so I don't feel as close to any of them as I did to Ash and Tali in the first.

I am interested to see how they're going to do this. The whole losing your squad in many different formations thing is very good and all, but where does that leave returning characters?
It was one thing having Wrex and having either Kaidan/Ashley, but this is the whole squad we're talking. That would be a lot of programming options...

Instead of having a set character list they should have 7 or so slots open and you can choose who you recruit
because i personally would like to mix members from ME 1 and 2 and add a fe new ones from mass effect 3
i dont want to be stuck with the set characters as i dont like most of them- jacob, miranda, thane, samara, zaeed, grunt couldnt care less about any of them- i understand they need somone like jacob or miranda to be the experienced cerberus operative keeping an eye on me but i still dont like them
BUT if i absolutely had to give u a list of people to return lets say 4 id have to go with
ashley
tali
garrus
jack

- Mordin (Gotta love that salarian)
- Miranda (Grrawr)
- Jacob (Great to have a black dude in the crew)
I haven't encountered Legion yet, and Grunt... meh. I'd rather have Wrex in my squad.

Jack - just because
Mordin - funniest squad member besides this time around
Tali - I
Legion - should get him earlier next time. he has potential to be interesting
Miranda - just to look at mostly
don't care for Zaeed or Grunt really. Jacob could come or go. wouldn't mind Samara. I really would like Ashley, Liara and Wrex back tho

Liara should be GIVEN, I can already see how her recruitment mission plays out.
