No more new squadies, it would kill the chances of any real depth with the ME1/ME2 squadies.
Basically unless it directly affects the main story it will take away more than it puts in.

We want the STORY to have all the disc space it needs to give it a shot at EPICNESS.

I think I'd be disappointed if there isn't some payoff for saving your crew, but it seems like asking a lot.



Course, on the other hand, I imagine the normal character-kill rate is pretty low, and Kotor 2 did just fine with alignment/gender restricted characters.

I know a lot of people don't like jack. But i LOVE her and want her back in ME3! She is the only companion that i had an emotional tie to. I talked to her every chance i got and got wrapped up in trying to help her resolve her issues with her past. May have worked better if my shepard was male instead of female. Or BW getting off their arses and making her bi.

Just so we can say there have been 2 characters with us from the start through all 3 games. Though personally I hope Shepard's tale goes to a 4th at least, just to be different. I'm sick of everything nowadays being a trilogy.



Tali and Garrus have in some ways come to be what I think of first when I think of the Mass Effect universe.

I really hope we don't get a 100% brand new crew in ME3 only because it seems to cheapen any connections you make with your crew in this game. I know we won't get everyone back but it would be nice to have more familiar faces. I have to say that ME2's crew is so much better than ME1 so kudos to Bioware for that. I would want as many of them back as I can but since that will most likely not be an option I would choose:

Tali first. Has always been my favorite character. I know the Tali fans were already SO lucky to get her back in this game (and as a romance to boot) so her chances of reappearing in ME3 aren't great...but since this is just a wish list thread she had to be included. I love her personality and her voice and her romance was very sweet. I also find myself extremely interested in the Quarians and where they're heading in ME3...

Miranda. I like cool headed b****es on wheels who just KNOW they're better than you, I find it funny and amusing. Maybe even Jacob even though I didn't have him as a favorite...but I kind of like how he and Miranda interacted. It's obvious that she's fond of him and her gentle ribbing with him was kind of a nice interaction to see.

After that? I guess I would say Garrus. I personally don't really like his character (honestly I find him bringing up C-Sec every 30 seconds fairly annoying) and I would never romance him. But I know he has a huge fan base so I would like to see him come back for their sakes. I guess I sympathize with them because I'm part of the Tali fans and we know what it's like to hold out hope haha.

Right on.  I'd love to see them both back again.  Ideally I'd like to see Mordin again, too, and all 3 joinable.  I'm not sure what they'll actually do, though - it seems like they'd need to make about 5 different games if they really wanted to account for every possible outcome and still have the same characters as joinables.

Tali, Tali, Tali. I'm sure she won't return, but she was my favourite character in both games. She's suffered from the Paramour curse as I like to call it, which means she likely won't be back.  I had her in along with Wrex, Ashley and Kaiden as allies who would never stand a chance of coming back.  When I saw her again I was ecstatic and thought "Yes, she'll be the one that lasts for all three games along with Shepard, there had to be ONE."  Now that I'm done, I'm just disappointed by how wrong I was.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure it'll be an all new cast. It's difficult to post in here without spoilers, so beware, there may be some within my post, but I'm trying to avoid them.

All of the Mass Effect 1 characters except Liara may or may not be...ah...unavailable due to...unfortunate circumstances.
Liara seems very unlikely given her disposition in ME2.
All ME2 characters can die at the end (not a spoiler, Bioware has said this in interviews!), soi I can't see them being back either. Besides...I felt more attached to the ME2 teammates than the ME1 ones, but except for Tali, none as much as the DA:O chars.

If you're simply asking which teammates I like, they are the following: Legion, Tali, Wrex/Grunt (I like them both, but getting both of them seems pointless), and Mordin. Thane is cool too, but there's no way he'll be back.

It seems to me that the only way we're getting familiar faces at this point for ME3 is if they simply have a Quarian Ally, Turiian Ally, Human Ally, Asari Ally, etc; and simply switch them out for new people if the old ones died.  As an example, going to recruit the Turian as a mission and if Garrus survived, it's him and if he didn't it's some new guy, they simply swap out the model and VA.  But that would take aLOT of development time, not to mention memory.

I don't know why but the human characters are always least interesting. Miranda I dislike the most. She looks unattractive and I don't really care for her backstory. I really don't like how she looks. Maybe Joker as a party member would be cool. If they can rebuild Shepard, why can't they fix that leg of his?

Thought I'd post a wish in here, even though it wouldn't be a returning character. Am I alone in really wanting a Volus for an ally? I was disappointed that there wasn't one for ME2. A Vorcha could provide interesting strategic possibliltes too, because of the regenerative health and immunity to disease.

i would love a Volus as an party member as long as he was good,but no point in having a Volus party member just for the sake of itand they could do a Vorcha party member i would really like one

i liked all the party members pretty much they are one of the best things about the game imo though i must admit Legion is a legend

The others don't get into my top 4 (I know I have a lot in there, but that's because there are some characters I enjoy equally)

Miranda is a no-no. She can die in a fire. I don't actually mind SuZe, her backstory is great, but I just... dunno, just didn't get on with her. Samara is awesome, and is my number 5. And I'm not including Zaeed, because he's DLC. (And sadly, not that well fleshed out dialogue wise, though his stories are awesome)

All of them to be honest. However, if pushed I would probably say:

I'd also like the old ME1 crew to come back also.
