Yes those actions are evil but unless Cerberus was doing them for the sake of doing them (with no greater end goal in mind beyond doing them more) I don't view them as evil***.  Now maybe Cerberus was doing these things just for the sake of doing them, maybe they are truly evil, I don't have enough insight into their motives and intent to make that judgement.  They gave me my life back, my ship, a team, and helped me stop the Collectors so I will reserve judgement for now.

My renegade character despises them and can't wait to kill every last one of them.  But there are bigger problems to deal with and my character is completely okay with using their ship, their tech and their crew to fight the Reapers, then laughing in TIM's face and blowing the base straight to hell.

It would have been sweet if you could frag Miranda in ME2; my character probably would have.  I think I'm going to side with Jack the next time the two of them fight when you've gained their loyalties and let Miranda die in the finale on purpose.

I'll paraphrase Zaeed if you bring him along on Jack's loyalty mission: I've done some messed-up things in my life, but they were experimenting on kids!  Nevermind all the stuff they did in ME1.

Political Assassination is a means to an end
Abortion is a means to an end
Murder can be a means to and end

I don't think Cerberus are evil, however I still dislike & distrust them.
