Like money maybe? I understand why they eased up the looting in the game but it makes sense that all the mercs that you kill would drop a nice sum of credits. Not that i don't get enough money from completing missions or cracking safes.
Do NPC enemies drop anything besides thermal clips?

No it doesn't
So you are saying every merc in the game has nice credits? Why even carry cash on them

No. The only way to get credits is missions.
