Anyone else think Grunt and his god forsaken voice will be taking over Clan Urdnot (if you left Wrex alive and you killed the Thresher Maw) and possible have a negative effect on how effective the Krogan may be in helping you during Mass Effect 3?

Because that means if Grunt takes over THEN WREX JOINS YOUR PARTY AGAIN *foams at mouth*.

Then it'll be the good 'ol Tali/Wrex combo.

I personally believe humans will be more of the enemies in Mass Effect 3 (save your crew members and those of Cerberus who agreed with you) as well as the council (if you let them live).

This is what I think is essentially gonna happen:

You're gonna have to prevent the good (?) Geth from fighting the Quarians, or prevent the Quarians from bombing the hell out of the Geth (unless your last words to the trial council of Tali were to avoid war) and possibly Tali herself (if she survived/lives) will change her mind about the Geth after your time with Legion.

Essentially this is what it will be.

Quarian, Geth, Krogan, some Alliance and Cerberus, possibly other races have their armies pitted against the Reapers, all while the Brass of the Alliance and the Council will be trying to stop you.

And Then there's that whole crap with Liara and the Shadow Broker. Perhaps once shes through being Captain Ahab (or Ashley pulls the broom out of her ass) she'll come back and, if you had a romance with one of them you'll have the choice to tell them to bug off or dump your current flame (Who would leave Tali though? Honestly.). That could then affect your standing with one of their races seeing as how maybe some are held to a higher regard because of their time against Saren.

And if you do end up going back to Ashley or Liara (or Kaidan for the Masochists out there, by the way WHY WOULD YOU?) the person you're leaving may have a subtle influence on how you may be hunted as well.

What do you all think. =]

Btw, the only party members I'd need for ME3 would be Wrex, Tali, Legion, Thane, and Mordin.

Erm... I'll address what I pulled out of that.

Grunt isn't going to be replacing anyone as a leader. As intelligent as he may be from Okeer's teachings, he is not experienced, and I doubt a tube-born clone is going to replace the descendant of a line of clan chiefs. And I really don't want Wrex to inexplicably start chasing you around, because I think it would take away from his character somewhat. WHY is he giving up on his people to come chasing you around?

I think that ME3's war will play like the Relay cutscene from ME2. Only, instead of buying upgrades, you will do 'loyalty' missions for all the factions -- Quarians, Turians, Geth, Krogan, Humans, Salarians, maybe even Mercs -- and each additional force you convince to join you will make the Milky Way's effort that much stronger.

There might end up being a small subplot for romantic jealousy, but seriously, the fate of the galaxy is literally at stake. You've got bigger things to worry about.

It's funny that you list those characters as the ones you 'need', because Thane and Mordin are the most likely to die in the time between 2 and 3 from natural causes, and Wrex (again) would have no reason to leave Tuchanka (and doing so would greatly tarnish his character's... I don't know, credibility. I hope you see what I'm saying there).

Wrex was a billion times more interesting and better far as I go

Grunt was good in a fight though, no personality though

Well, you are correct there, I completely forgot about Thane's short time left, and Mordin's age.

I wrote the thread a mile a minute without thinking it through. I just got that feeling from Wrex after hearing about the Thresher maw that Grunt could possibly be a threat to his power. Grunt is already seen as a breeding candidate and even had offers, I just think it might end up like that. If Wrex leaves Tuchanka, it wouldn't be by his own power.

But needless to say I think the most important race that would be needed would be the Quarians because of their fleet. I don't know the specifics of the ships there, whether or not they have advanced weaponry, but they'd be the ones most drastic to gain the loyalty of. Then it'd probably be the Geth, and at one point I'm thinking even Aria will become someone you'd need to gain the side of. Her character is too...powerful to not be of some importance. All I know is I want to go into cryo right now and awaken when ME3 is about to come out.

Nay, I don't believe Grunt will take over.

Wrex made a comment after I defeated the Threasher Maw, 'Geez, trying to replace me,' or something similiar.  I interrpreted it as totally sarcastic.  Grunt is there to strength the Krogan by introducing stronger genes.  That doesn't make him leader material however imo.

Leader of the Krogan? That whelp? HA! Another 1,400 years and Grunt might be ready to take over for Wrex, but there's no way he's ready for that now.

Hmmm Species Loyalty missions. VERY intresting.

1 (Stop the Quarians and Geth from fighting)

2 (Convience the council races to listen for once)

3 (Unite the Krogan tibes)

4 (BONUS if yer lucky, the Rachnai)

5 (Unite the Terminus systems) ((LOL put yer people in charge of the Merc groups. Grunt as Blood Pack, Jack as Blue Suns, and Samara as Eclipse))) Joking of course.

6 (Find some awesome tech)

7 (Call upon aid from the Reaper's rivals or natural enemies))

Paragon or Renegade option to extinguish the last of the reapers.
