I cannot tell, I am at novaria, (on my second runthrough, my first was a solder on normal, did not have any problems with difficulty, now I am an adept, same difficulty). where you fight matriarch benezia, I just finished her fight with a leage of asari commandos, and now my guys are at very little health, dialogue sequence, and all the sudden I find myself next the hardest single person in that point in the game so far, surrounded with a squad of her very tough asari commandos, with no cover, no grenades, and I medigel, witch I have to use immediatly. Under these odds, I got so frustrated I almost through the controller at the tv, (thank god I didnt). Now however, during my time as a solder, I had no really frustrating moments, and cannot decide wether adepts are underpowered or novaria is really hard. ANyone have their thoughts, I saved right before the fight right before the dialogue, so I guess I could try to do that and save my medigel, otherwise, anyone have any tips for me
Is novaria really hard or adepts really underpowered

Bwahahaha.
Truth is, Noveria is a hard place, and the final battle is a tough one with limited cover and the ability for Geth and/or asari to get your flank and bring on the hurt. Finding a good spot to place yourself is key, but your biotics should be able to get you through fine. It's just simple once you get it down to a rythm. Lift someone, throw another, Stasis someone because you don't like their face, barrier so you won't die instantly, and so on. Getting a good feel on how your powers work and how to effectively use them is another part of being a great adept. Playing an Adept in mass effect 1 is like Playing a game of chess.
Except all of your peices are Queens.

hm... that could be it, personally, I like to play with more muscle than magic in rpgs, though if I really like one (lets say Mass Effect), id go through it a second time using a mage, (or biotic in this case). I just think it is so much easier to swing a big sword than to carefully select your magic abilities and then wait patentilly while your magic points recharges while the enemy butchers you, mainly because I grew up on action games and shooters. Though I bet you see it diferently... thanks, I will try that out sometime, Funny I try lift and stasis and I swear nothing happens, maybe I just got to get the hang of using biotics Idk, I have been getting through this on barrier and warp,

never mind my last two lines, I just havent been paying that much attention, I reloaded a privious save on artimus tau cluster were there is a big open space and just trying out everything, and I know what you mean about all your peices being queens, though I still stand by my statements saying I hate recharging your magic while the enemy kills you

Noveria's not exceptionally hard and adept's are definitely not underpowered.
Your problem is this: The boss fight on Noveria is against a group of enemies with very high biotic resistance. Adept is actually very powerful but they are also very squishy. When facing top tier other biotics you can start to feel overtaxed real quickly if you're not a good shot and/or can't find decent cover.

My adept playthrough (veteran) I reached Noveria at a fairly high level... and it was no big issue, frankly. I just kept Benezia on statis and the fired singularities and lifts all over the place. Again, the issue was perhaps my high level at the time, as I'd done most sidequests by that time.

Noveria is easy with adept. I had no issues...

I actually think the adept is one of the more powerful classes. But it sounds like you're approaching Benezia all wring. Take cover in the corners where she can't attack you and take out the surrounding troops first. Charging right up to Benezia is a trap.

I always run down to the little platform in front and to the right of where the fight starts. Benezia can't get you there. I also leave my squad stationed up on the aisles in front of me. The enemies concentrate their fire on my squad, allowing me to focus my attention on fighting them rather than on defense and healing. Sometimes your squad will try to run down to the platform to be with you, but don't let them.

The problem with Adepts is that they start slow but from mid levels they become very powerful.
What biotic powers do you have available (including your squad)? The trick at that stage is to hit Benezia with something like lift as soon as the fight starts and finish her off quickly then focus on the commandos on one flank.
