I put in hardcore before selecting the mission just to be safe and it appeared. Actually hardcore was not much different to veteren (my standard) maybe more things had shields but I never really noticed.

How would you guys rate the Geth pulse rifle against the Revenant?

I cant' remember how they compare on non-Insanity, but on Insanity a Soldier with Revenant and AR and Assault Rifle Accuracy upgrades slices through enemies in seconds.

Haha, no gun is worth that much work in my opinion.

The Colossus on Insanity really isn't that hard.
Run up the right side and take cover on the right side... he doesnt repair.

Tali's recruitment mission is really easy if you take the right squaddies. I usually roll with Zaeed for squad disruptor ammo and Garrus for overload, and both of them sporting the highest rate of fire/base damage ARs I've got which is usually the Mattock, if you don't have that give them the Avenger. The more rounds they put out the more often they will cause geth weapons to jam thanks to disruptor ammo, and then there's the additional benefit of quickly stripping shields. It's a cake walk even on insanity. Oh and giving Garrus area overload helps with the flying drones that accompany the geth primes.

Hrm, thought you had to play on hardcore from the very start.

GPR is interesting to me in the fact that the sine wave in it's description is actually there when you fire, giving you variable dps depending on when in that wave you are hitting the enemy.
