I found 20 of 21 keepers so far. The 21st keeper is in the NW corner of the Presidium, just outside the Citadel Tower. Standing next to it is Avina. Every time I try to examine the keep........Avina tells me not to disturb them. How do I bypass her to complete the quest?

Hmm, are you sure you haven't counted that one - that particular keeper permanently has a blue circle on it, so you might have already scanned that one - you might need to still find one more.

If that Keeper reads "Examine" instead of "Scan", you've already done that one. There's still one more somewhere that you haven't found yet.

What they said. Try seeing if you missed one of the 3 other ones in Citadel Tower or the one by the Normandy.

Check out the wikia for a list and check them one by one. The ones that are easy for me to forget are the one on the docking platform and the one in the corridor between the the two citadel levels.

There's one in the elcor & volus embassy that doesn't appear until you scan most of the others.

Yeah, you can easily scan that one if you haven't already - Avina says 'dont disturb the keepers' but it doesn't hamper the scan. I haven't gotten all of them, and am thinking about going back and actually taking a Paragon route by telling the guy to stop his research (just found out about another quest that can have that happen). Trying to build an all Paragon guy and didn't know that the Keeper scan mission was a Renegade route (it doesn't really matter in the end, I know, though there are some impacts on ME 2 from what I gather).

The one in the Volus/Elcor embassy is prone to glitching and not showing there. (on the 360 version anyway, not sure about PC)



Save outside the embassy, then quit to main menu, then reload that save - that should make that keeper appear. That is the one I usually missed. Hope that helps.

Well, I took it disappearing as part of the whole 'Keepers roam about' motif that the story line provides.

(It disappears on the PC version too)

Oh yeah, forgot about the disappearing keeper. He's actually under the floor, and in the pc version if you look down where he's supposed to be you can usually still highlight him and scan him.

Yeah.... it is bugged. I have made a complete circuit TWICE using both a map and guide listing all the keepers, and kept count. I found all 21, yet none have a "Scan" option still and the quest says I have only scanned 20/21...

The last one I usually get is the one up by the Normandy. But there are a few odd ones, like that little alley you get Tali in, the disappearing one, or the one in the flight control room. Not sure what to say if none of those are scannable.

For the disappearing one a save/load will fix that.

Yeah, if its just one disappearing then all you need to do is save and reload. But in my case all 21 keepers are accounted for, none of them will let me scan, and the quest says I have only scanned 20 of them.

Citadel TowerThe first keeper is right next to Chorban, it's the one you caught him trying to scan.

The second keeper is in the bottom-left corner of the map.

To the east of the first keeper past Rear Admiral Kahoku.

Northwest on the map, off a side corridor.

[edit] PresidiumWest side, near the elevator to the Citadel Tower.

Northwest, near the Wards Access.

Opposite the Entrance to the Embassy Lounge through a door and on to an "external" balcony.

Again in the Embassy Lounge, to the northeast in an unnamed room containing computer terminals and an elcor.

In the Embassies, the volus and elcor Office beside Ambassador Udina's. This keeper may not appear if you travel to the embassies via the rapid transit system. This may also be a bug with the PC version if you have visited the office prior to accepting the quest. Typically a quick save and a reload of the game prompts the keeper to re-appear. This keeper can also spawn under the room with a small portion of it antennae protruding up from the floor. It can be scanned for credit in this state but is very easy to miss. (Bug confirmed for 360 version as well...fixed by a simple save game/load saved game)

Southeast, by the entrance to the Consort's Chambers.

West of the Consort's Chambers and south of the Krogan Monument.

Upstairs, in the back of the Emporium.

[edit] WardsUpper Wards, behind the Med Clinic, across from the Rapid Transit terminal.

Upper Wards, in the north-west corner of the Upper Markets between stalls (left of the expat's stall).

Wards, on the northern wall mid-way along the Alleyway between Chora's Den and the Wards access corridor. This keeper will disappear off the map sometimes.

Upper Wards, Flux, upstairs behind the Quasar machines.

Lower Wards, in front of the entrance to C-Sec Academy.

C-Sec Academy, in the C-Sec Requisitions office.

C-Sec Academy, in the Traffic Control room.

Alliance Docking Bay (Dock 422), at the end of the gantry the Normandy is docked with.

Ward Access, in a small, northern facing room on the corridor between lifts.
