I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find any posts on it in the forums.
When importing a ME1 character into ME2, you are supposed to be able to take the existing custom appearance and tweak it to your liking. However, when I select "customize appearance" it switches the face to the built in presets. All I want to do is change some of the hair styles for some of my imported characters without having to re create them from scratch. What am I missing?

You arent missing a thing, when the character creation template shows up, they are assuming you are changing the face entirely. But as a precaution, there is a code under your face. Enter the same code when the face goes to a preset and you should be able to edit it.

I looked for this code but couldn't find it, so assumed it was PC only. Where is the code supposed ot be? Doesn't matter too much, my Shepard has a face I like sticking with. But it oculd be useful.

I've only seen the code after I have already started the game and proceeded past the Lazarus Project. I could use that, I'm just trying to avoid creating too many career saves, and also having to start the game several times with each new import.
