Hello everyone.

I bought mass effect 2 collector ( Xbox360 ) got tricked by the EA account / gamtertag / Cerberus Network thing.
I emailed EA, hopefully its gonna be sorted out really soon.

Meanwhile, my Mass Effect 1 save isn't detected ( I originaly played ME1 on my first xbox, then brought my save to my new xbox trought MU, but now I only have a "Gamer Profile" no saves nothing. I finished the game lvl 50, did all the quest, got a lot of achievements, absolutely loved it.

I don't want to go with the default choices of ME2 so, I thought let's do ME1 again ( haven't tried ME2 yet, not to be too shocked by going back to ME1 )

I'd like to go throught the game as quick as possible, and do all my choices back.
I play in easy, but it's way too easy, I might go to normal mode.
I know all the dialogues and stories by heart, I don't have that much fun playing it, I feel kind of doomed but hey its still a great game and I want my save to carry over to ME2.

So could you help me and tell me which choices and sub-stories actually have an impact on ME2 ?

And how long would you think it"s gonna take me to finish it ( I don't plan on going lvl 50, just finish it once )

Will my achievements be tied to this new game save ( or achievements tied to the save transfer analysis in ME2 ?)

Please help me, I know someone might have asked these questions already but I wanted you to know about the whole situation.

Thanks in advance for your support.

This won't be much help, but you should be around 35-40 when you finish the game. Also, the Biotic hostage mission (with the Biotic rights delegate), Conrad Verner, and other missions (I apologize for my stupidity) carry over.

If you play on Easy, it will be fastest. I would highly advise it.

Dude, I feel your pain. I didn't read up much as much as I should have. Played the first one on my PC. Now have an XBOX so got the second for that. 22 hours in I decide to see what the whole import thing was about. So tomorrow I go out and get ME1 and play through on teh XBOX. Ah well, should go quick.

It is possible to top your dude out at 50, if you get out of the mako and kill stuff by hand, and/or do all of the side missions. If you have unlocked lvl 60, you can reach lvl 57 on one playthough using this technique. As Haadurin suggested, turn the difficulty all the way down to easy, and zoom through it. If you just want to finish the game and don't care about level, skip the side-missions!

Here is a little check list I made. Not sure its any help, but its great for me when I want to do all the side quests.

It gives a list of all Clusters, and systems. I mark them off as I finish a system and mark the cluster off, that way I know i don't have to go back there. I usually mark them off with a ** when they are done.

To actually see what's on the planets to take up less time I use the pictures on Mass Effect wiki to show me everything. It cuts down a bunch of time for me, but mileage may vary.

There is a much better checklist made by Teryx (previously Cold Zxaos). Check out the post on the GameStop forum here.
