Is there a point where I need to be careful how far I take a relationship without jeapordizing the opportunity for another relationship.

For example - I can't decide who I want to romance - Maranda or Tali.  Just recently I did Maranda's Sister mission - went for a visit in her office and was nervous that things would get heated.  I'm just hoping that I haven't burnt any bridges until I've decided.

I would imagine it's the same as ME1, where continuing two romances causes a confrontation.

"pro-Tali" does not even begin to describe the cult of Tali'Zorah

The romances are MUCH easier to get into/out of in ME2.

Even if you've fully romanced a charachter, you can break up with them and romance someone else.

I know for Miranda, Tali, and Jack, the options they give are very clear on whether you want to romance them or not.

My impression is that unlike Dragon Age, there is no sampling of all the wares, if you get my meaning. You kind of have to decide who it is going to be and be prepared to be shut out by the rest.

It's not so much how far to take it without jeopardising another relationship, it's more a case of being careful not to accidentally head in to a romance with someone and be left with the choices of going through with it or having them never speak to you again...

Man, I hate Tali. I hope she joins the Admiralty Board on the Flotilla for ME3.

This is the kind of Tali post everyone is waiting for, right?

Yeah, I'm pretty pissed off that she was a frickin' flirt with my fem!Shep and then stopped talking to me for the remainder of the game.

You should go with Tali, definitely.

It's not that I'm one of her adamant fans, just that Miranda is horrible in comparison.

there will be a point where either miranda or tali says you have to choose and at that point you will have to go to one of them and break off the relationship. just keep flirting with both until you hit this point. I've only seen tali bring up the 'you have to choose' option but i'm pretty sure miranda does it too.

safest option is to not talk to them post completing their loyalty quest ( they'll still remain loyal, you'll just miss out on a bit of thank you speech / story )

If you're worried about advancing a romance too quickly, the answer is that for all romances follow this pattern

Talk about them

Talk some more

Do Loyalty mission

They ask if you have feelings for them and then you answer them

There will be an obvious point where they ask you if you have feelings for them. For Tali and Jack, it's very obvious, for Miranda, look out for a conversation about admiring her body, this is where her romance starts.

Once you confirm with any of them that you have feelings for them, the best thing to do is to stick with one. If you don't then the FIRST one when you confirmed feelings with will ask you to break it off with others. I HIGHLY suggest focusing on only on romance because of this: If you confirmed feelings with, say, Jack first and then went on to Tali and acutally want to follow through with Tali, there will be NO option to turn down Jack. Jack will just keep asking you to break it off with Tali and for some inane reason you won't be able to simply say "No, I want Tali not you." So yeah, just do one romance.

I think you have to do the "admire her body" line to forward the relationship. I dont know if not taking that will kill the relationship.

I'm guessing Samara can't be romanced? I was like 80% Paragon 7% Renegade when I got her to ALMOST her to hook up. She enabled her biotics and leaned in for a kiss but pulled away at the last second, what a tease. She wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the mission.

Samara mentions that if she were younger she'd have you on the floor right then and there, but ultimately says that part of her life is behind her.

You have to go through the relay right away to save Kelly. After the crew gets abducted you'll start losing people every time you do a mission.
