I have the Steam version of ME2.  I get periodic freezes of the game that last for several seconds.  In one fight scene after a bot exploded in my face the screen went black for the remainder of the fight.  At the end of the freedom's progress mission I experienced graphics artifacts which lasted until the end of the post mission interview with the Illusive Man.  I have the latest Directx installed and downloaded the latest NVidia drivers.

Any ideas on how I can fix this problem?  It doesn't make the game unplayable, but it does take way much of the enjoyment.  I've been turning down the eye candy to see if it would fix the issue and no luck so far.

I tunred down my resolution from 2500x1600 to 1920x1080 and had no issues. I should be able to run at higher resolutions with a GTX 285.
