You're missing the point. Transmissions aren't of infinite range. So what would the geth have to do?

I'm in a good mood so I'm going to answer your question instead of blowing you off and calling you a mean name.

The geth can transmit to the Flotilla the same way everyone else does. I don't know what the name of the technology is and I don't care. It's irrelevent. The rest of the galaxy manages to communicate with itself just fine so I see no reason the geth couldn't.

What reason do the geth have to acknowledge the authority of the Citadel Council?

Peace and understanding.

But do the geth know or believe that?

Apparently not. I guess they aren't that smart after all. All the more reason to give Xen her toys.

Inverness Moon wrote...

Well you seem to think it is a good idea, so why do you think the geth don't see it similarly?

I don't know, I'm not a ****ing writer.

Even if the Quarians retook their own world... What might the Geth have done to it? It takes quite a few resources to build and maintain a synthetic civilization.

(That may be discounted if the Geth obtained culture or reverence to their creators to preserve the homeworld... Who knows?)

Yes, if the geth were to transmit to the Flotilla the same way everyone does, wouldn't that grab a lot of attention?

Of course they could also speak to the quarians directly rather than using public methods of communication by leaving The Perseus Veil for where ever the Migrant Fleet is.

Peace and understanding? According to Legion, the geth seek to model organic behavior so that they may understand the actions of their creators during the Morning War. I would think you have to understand the problem before you can solve it.

Not very many children or adults are that smart either. But, as Legion said, "we wish to learn."

You don't even have a good idea? Perhaps the geth value Rannoch for some other reason then.

You're right, only an idiot would talk to somebody that want to try and understand. Which of-course dictates that I end this conversation. Goodbye, it's been less than a pleasure.

Only if he successfully changes his ship name to Defernse or Iktomy. It would guarantee a laugh for me when I hear the full name in the next game.

No matter what you think of the Geth, we learned in ME2 that there are far MORE of them than we thought-- the ones we had been fighting were just a seperatist minority. That says to me that Qwib-Qwib is the wise one, even if he is a bit of an ass.

Get your "Qwib-Qwib" lulz out of the way now =p.

But really he seems to be one of the smarter quarians at First I thought he just be another Uldna hiding behind point for power but when you talk to him he actually deeply believes his actions and well after talking to Kal'Reegar ((A odd quarian accent doesn't match the rest)). I can safely say I support them trying a peaceful way I'm also hoping my suggest to Tali during her mission will as well help her lean toward there ideals, I 'd hate to have to pick between tali or chance to make peace between two species.

I wouldn't choose Tali if it meant war with the geth. Idk why but I really would like to see them assimillate(sp?) With the rest of the galaxy. If it comes down to war regardless of shep's intervention(admiral what's-her-name certainly seems capable of taking at least a splinter group to war) I would help the geth. As far as I'm concerned, the Quarians have it coming.

Also, my shep is great friends with Tali, and tries to stimulate a peaceful resolution bc he knows that siding with the geth will alienate her completely. He also sees potential for the Quarians to become the new batarians, to a degree, if the Quarians do decide to go to war.

Well the admiral is kinda full of himself, but he's the only one that wants a peaceful solution to the Quarian's continued existence. Even Tali is prejudiced against Legion, at first anyway. I hope that Tali and Legion become friends, Tali joins the Admiralty Board, and works out a treaty with the Quarians and the Geth.

And Tali is standing on her restored homeworld, on a sandy beach with waves lapping at its shore. She's facing a sunrise, turning the sky shades of purple and orange. She removes her mask and hands it to Legion, who watches her run off into the ocean, kicking off her boots and tossing her gloves behind her.

*fists shake with anticipatory fangirlic glee* OMG IT WILL BE BEAUTIFUL.

According to the Mass Effect Wiki:
"According to Legion, geth do not actually live on any of the quarian
planets they conquered, and act as caretakers for them instead
. They
find it more efficient to live on space stations and draw resources from
asteroids, though they maintain mobile platforms on the worlds to clear
rubble and toxins left by the Geth Uprising or as the geth call it, the
"Morning War." Legion likens this to preserving cemeteries and
memorials by humans on Earth. However, since geth do not truly die
(their memories are simply recorded) Legion speculates they do this for
the quarians who died instead.
"

I'm going to guess this implies the Geth are open to the return of the Quarians under the right circumstances.
