I would love this expansion idea. I have faith in Bioware and I would love some post collector's content that is more than just one or two inconsequential quests.

Given I spent close to 500 bucks to play this game on completely optimal settings, yea I would definitely buy "any" content released for ME2.

I agree 100% with the OP. No one wants a haphazard cop out of a Mass Effect 3, or of anything from the ME series for that matter. Bioware, do what it takes to produce the best quality instead of producing the best quantity of money you make from it.

i will sign a petition if you start one. do it. although i don't think bioware operates like that. we can't force them to make it just because of a petition, but if they're smart they'll take our advice.
and personally, i'd like it to be cheap, i'd rather not double the price of mass effect 2 just to get it up to the length it should have been

This part of Mass Effect, especially the whole deal about synthetic life and its place in the universe diserves alot of attention. I want the expansion to focus on this, and I would also want it to have an impact in ME3.

A new post collector campaign full of extra side missions, with all the new armor, upgrades, and maybe cerberus is trying to hunt your ship down and take you out. Anything that expands and sets up story for ME3 would be awesome!

This game has already sold over 2 million copies. That is over 2 million people who own the game, and 2 million potential customers to buy DLC. If they hadn't already planned on making a lot of DLC for this game, they most certainly have now.

I hope you are right. But i want proper Mass Effect 2 story continuation, not bits and pieces as most DLC is. Unless Bioware breaks the DLC mold, thats what most DLC normally ends up as.
@Shinobi- yeah i want ME3 as soon as possible, but would you rather the conclusion to the trilogy to end with many loose ends and glossed over party members, or would you rather have a proper ME3 which doesnt have to focus on the loose ends of ME2? A proper expansion pack to ME2 can solve these issues. Though Casey Hudson has been saying that they might release large DLC packs to tie the story up closer to ME3's release, Im afraid that such DLC packs would lack the coherency i feel is necessary to do justice to the ME2 crew.

As Engared originally said, I would really like to see a size-able expansion pack. Something like 10+ hours for around 30 bucks. That would be perfect. It could take place after the suicide mission and include all the basic jazz like new armor, weapons, that sort of thing. Most of all the expansion pack should include more squad quests or atleast some new dialogue. I was hoping Miranda was going to congratulate me for my unparalleled kick-a**edness during the mission but instead I got what she had been saying 5 hours prior to the last mission. At the very least she could have talked about her decision to resign from Cerberus. Anyhow, I would just really like to see a long expansion pack with heavy emphasis on your crew. Quests, dialogue, a romantic LI date on the Citadel, more sexy time, whatever! I'll pretty much be happy with anything.
