Yes PLEASE. I am one of those people that beat the first Mass Effect 200000 times, and waited on the edge of my seat for expected DLC's which really never came. It was said that ME2 would be different, and it seems that Bioware is planning on making good on the promise to have DLC's/expansions.

It did seem like this game was less dialogue/roleplay oriented than the first game. Not that i didnt love the game, but it seemed like the game was built with an amazing combat system and awesome mechanics, but didnt get polished like the first game. An expansion and DLC's could fix that. There is no limit to the amount of money Bioware could make off of expansions and DLC's for this game. Please take more of my money bioware. <3

Yeah i alone have purchased ME1 3 times (2x on Xbox for different regions and 1x on PC) and ME2 3 times as well (2 collector's additions and one normal downloadable one lol).

Definitely. A proper expansion for this game (think The Shivering Isles) would be amazing, and I'd be willing to part with 30-40$ for it, more if its really long and expansive.

Also, please ensure it also includes character development and not just go shoot this group of mercenaries.

You know, id LOVE a DLC where you get to play a race allied to the reapers (collectors? husk leader? something we havent seen yet), and you get to see the start of the invasion of the galaxy.

Only if the level cap is raised. To at least 50. That is one thing i really enjoyed about ME1. So much replay value due to leveling.

One hopes we'll get an expansion on the same schedule as Dragon Age is.

They hate petitions at BW. Expect a lock. However, a Shivering Isles-like one would be awesome as SI added 10-20 hours more gameplay-wise.

Free DLC is coming for sure.

And I'm almost positive an ExPack is planned, so why petition.

Note to Bioware: As long as it has substance and relevance (i.e. not pointless like Pinnacle Station) I'll happily pay

I wouldn't mind an expansion, really depends on the content, if it is like the Dragon Age expansion in that new party members are introduced, I'm not sure I'd be so keen. I'd probably still buy it, lol.

But yeah, like cerberus1701 said, preferably something with substance and relevance!

A normal expanson would be a great thing and I would definetly buy it. Just make it at least 7 or so hours. A DLC can be 1-3 hours, an expansion should be far more.

You know, I felt that BioWare should've exploited the Collector links to the Protheans, and the Keeper signal frequencies.

Still feels like a shame that barely any of the original story is actually intertwined with Mass Effect 2. It's like their new wider scope made them blind to the quirks that made the original story so compelling.

If an expansion were to be released that would build upon the storyline from the first game as well as the second, it would feel a lot more complete.

I see a lot of cliches that could be fixed with a little more depth.

Sign. I don't need to elaborate... we've all voiced what we wanted many times somewhere on these forums.

It's my understanding that the DLC team is part of Bioware, so it's in-house (Unlike Pinnacle, which was farmed out) but it can do it's own thing without impeding ME3 development.

So whether or not there's DLC will not impact when ME3 hits the stores.

On this scale the DLC would require considerably more resources than Bring Down the Sky. I kind of doubt they will invest that much into it. I'd rather have some info on ME3 earlier than a half-assed episode in the middle. Not that I doubt BioWare, but even great devs can deliver underwhelming additional content - for a recent example look no further than the Battle of Forli and its ratings.

Sorry to be a killjoy but can I just insert this quote from Stanley Woo...

Sorry, but online petitions don't really work around here. Sorry.

End of line.

_EDIT_

Just to be clear though, I too am in favour of a proper substantial ( and I don't mean in the same way as Pinacle station was said to be substantial before it came out ), expansion pack.
