I bought ME1 on sale just to try it out. I had played KoTOR, but didn't really have any loyalty to Bioware at that point. When I had finished ME I was on the verge of tears on how awesome that game was. I bought the CE ME2 and have read both books, I'll more than happily purchase an expansion for ME2 or anything dealing with the ME universe.

No on this one. I'd rather have Bioware work on ME3 - with another game already in the works, an expansion pack is not necessary.

I would love an expansion if ME3 takes all the choices made in the expansion into consideration. Also people that skipped the expansion, should still be able to import with all their choices from ME1 and ME2 intact.

I'd buy anything bioware puts out for Mass Effect. I'll even try the hammerhead despite my deep dislike for the mako.

only if the expansion deals with the pure Geth and the Quarians. solving that problem deserves quite a bit of attention and i would not want to see it crammed into some minor side quest in ME3.

An expansion is near impossible, since to be called a 'true' expansion, all the squad mates would require new lines on voice acting, and short expansions are usually not voice acted by the whole original team. (This is what makes DLC and side missions unattractive in bioware games.)

Bioware has not really done well with Expansion Packs for a long time. They seem to put out another game instead of continuing the branding of a current game. It is one of the reasons that Bethesda remained attractive to me as an RPG player. The DLC for the first Mass Effect was really underwhelming. Both had to be played in storyline and although bring down the sky was interesting it wasn't followed up on well with additional content. There is a news report dealing with what you did in ME2. I love Mass Effect. This is an extremely compelling universe that I feel could spawn many games even if the reapers are killed off. Also the reapers do not have to remain killed off as there are many Mass effect gates which have not been explored. I want more episodic game play on this franchise. I will pay for it. I would love to see ME 3 coming out in 3 years after continued expansion that lets you really roam the galaxy and deals with the political nature of getting the Council on your side and finally believing in Reapers.

You do know that they gonna have to rehire everybody to do the voices for ME3 right? So maybe while they record ME3 voices, they can also record expansion voices? I think they did this with Dragon Age actually, since some people that did voices for Dragon Age, also does some voices for this.Tokion wrote...

Well EA did say that something big for the mass effect universe was coming out next year, so it could be an expansion, which would be great to further the story leading into epic ME3.

Still not convinced that announcement isn't regarding Mass Effect gracing PS3.

I'd be all-over any worthwhile expansion esp. one dealing with Legion, Tali, True Geth, and Quarian issues.
I suspect though that the above will be one of the MAIN quests in ME3 so a "bridge" to ME3 would work fine for me. I.E. if they are going to take away party member that I'd like to have at least give me missions or let me make decisions about what happens or doesn't happen.
