Who else watched the Lost season premiere tonight?  What'd you think?

My thoughts (there will be spoilers):

1. They've given us flashbacks.  They've given us flash forwards. Now, they're giving us flash sidewayses(?)!  An alternate time line where the plane doesn't crash... I like it.

2. I knew Juliet was going to bite the dust.  She has to save the world from aliens in NYC, duh.

3. Desmond's alive and on the plane...or is he?

4. Jacob's nemesis is Smokey. Cool, that one's finally proven.  But who the hell IS he?

5. Richard got pwned hardcore.

There are aspects I liked about the show but man, they sure like farting about.

The scene in the plane were it's in slow motion with the typical weepy music must have take up at least 10% of episode airtime. The scene under the temple with the crack really dragged on also as did the scene pulling the rubble. The actual good, interesting stuff, evil Locke Emperor and Darth Ben got barely any airtime. The ending was also really predictable, pretty much everyone expected it to happen.

The first episode wasn't that strong, but the second was one of the best of the series.

They at least make Sayid's revival interesting. Is it Jacob or Sayid?

I saw it and thought it was really good. I like how the first episode of every season really lays out the main questions that will be answered throughout the season.

Pretty lame episode tonight. I don't understand how they could have a filler during the last season with so much left to explain.

Didn't the writers promise that all the big questions will be answered in this final season? What do you guys think? Will they?

I hope they'll answer all the big questions otherwise I'll be dissapointed and irritated as I'm sure others would be. As for the episode I thought it was really good, I really liked the alternate timeliene where the plane didn't crash.

It brought to light Kate's desire to help Claire and also started to explains what happened to Claire. She's been left hanging for awhile so its good to see what's up with her. She seems to have gone all Rousseau on us.

It started out looking like each episode was going to answer some big questions.  Then last night's episode happened.  So, who knows.

I'm sure they'll answer most of the big questions, but I doubt they're going to try to tie off every loose end.

The alternate timeline is pretty cool.  I just wish we didn't have to have a Kate episode so early.  She should have died like 2 seasons ago.

It revealed a few things, like Claire has gone Rousseau and that Sayid is "infected", but it really didn't give any definitive answers.

You can, but I doubt you would be able to get into it.  I can't imagine anyone being able to understand it all without watching the first 5 seasons.

I guess they might not tie off every loose end but i hope they answer most of the important questions. I also thought the same thing with the Kate episode, shes my least favourite character. I hope they kill her off but I doubt they will now
