The original is the best. I'm hoping to find out that while she has found a few new edges, the whole "darker" and "edgier" information broker shtick in ME2 was an act. Mostly.
She spent 50 years of her life on dig sites, and suddenly she's some influential underground figure on a metropolis planet with a complete personality shift? In a two years' time? And the guy/gal who was the catalyst for that whole thing elicits no more than a "go do some hacking for me, dear" reaction when they meet? Would the tongue tied "I always say something embarassing around other people" Liara really disappear so easily?

I really enjoyed the fact that Liara became disenchanted. She was a sheltered child to the T. Sure she ran off and did her whole Prothean thing, but I don't think she ever saw the really ugliness of the universe. She did and it shocked her and I'm glad it had a real impact on her that actually changed her character - unlike the death of her mother in the first game >: O

And yes I would want the sweet innocent Liara to return over the cold/ruthless act she is putting on now.

I want to see her rip the Shadow Broker's throat out.
I want to find out that the Shadow Broker is Liara's father. And then she crushes her into a coffee cup and serve her with milk and sugar.

Plus not being able to trust anyone for two years...JakeGamer1 wrote...
When she breaks down you can tell she is still innocent inside, but she's having to put on this facade so the shadow broker doesnt see a weakness in her.
On the other hand, she might not be able to snap out of it without your help. So I bet you get a choice.

Liara better return as a squadmate in ME3. As much as I would like to see her kill the shadow broker, I think that honor should be reserved for Shepard. Something tells me I would replay that mission over and over then.

What I'm really hoping will happen is that Shepard gets a hint that Liara is going to go after the SB head on and goes after her and the two take him/her/it/them out together. And then totally go somewhere and make out.

I really hope she has a large role in ME3. She has so many possibilities for her story. I would love to she BioWare really develop her and continue her as an LI.
You and me both, fellow Liara avatar poster.

Please Bioware just give us some worthwhile interaction with her before ME3 is released.

Indeed. We were told that ME 1 love interests were held aside to keep them save. She's the ONLY squad mate that will always survive ME 1 and 2 so I expect to see her.

Hopefully they don't hold Tali aside in ME3.
GTFO, TALIMANCER!!!
lol, Just kidding...But really, prepared to be epically p.o.'d in Mass Effect 3. I'm betting that all the ME2 romances are getting sidelined :-/
