Do people prefer the original, sweet and innocent flavor of Liara, or are you interested in the sequel’s, dark and edgier flavor of Liara?

I want to see her rip the Shadow Broker's throat out.

tbh, I think all surviving love interests will be available in ME 3 in one way shape or form. Maybe not all off them in the same playthrough, but definitively the ones you romanced during your playthrough off ME 1 and 2. And of course provided they survived.

Liara has a higher chance than any other previous party member of being one in me3.

I definitely want to see her as a squadmate. I want a "kill the Shadow Broker" side quest.

The original is the best. I'm hoping to find out that while she has found a few new edges, the whole "darker" and "edgier" information broker shtick in ME2 was an act. Mostly.

She spent 50 years of her life on dig sites, and suddenly she's some influential underground figure on a metropolis planet with a complete personality shift? In a two years' time? And the guy/gal who was the catalyst for that whole thing elicits no more than a "go do some hacking for me, dear" reaction when they meet? Would the tongue tied "I always say something embarassing around other people" Liara really disappear so easily?

I really enjoyed the fact that Liara became disenchanted. She was a sheltered child to the T. Sure she ran off and did her whole Prothean thing, but I don't think she ever saw the really ugliness of the universe. She did and it shocked her and I'm glad it had a real impact on her that actually changed her character - unlike the death of her mother in the first game >: O

When she breaks down you can tell she is still innocent inside, but she's having to put on this facade so the shadow broker doesnt see a weakness in her.

EDIT:  And yes the innocent sweet Liara is the best :D.  If I didnt have faith in her I wouldnt have remained loyal to her in all my imported playthroughs.

Liara better return as a squadmate in ME3. As much as I would like to see her kill the shadow broker, I think that honor should be reserved for Shepard. Something tells me I would replay that mission over and over then.

And yes I would want the sweet innocent Liara to return over the cold/ruthless act she is putting on now.

I want to find out that the Shadow Broker is Liara's father. And then she crushes her into a coffee cup and serve her with milk and sugar.

Plus not being able to trust anyone for two years...

On the other hand, she might not be able to snap out of it without your help.  So I bet you get a choice.

What I'm really hoping will happen is that Shepard gets a hint that Liara is going to go after the SB head on and goes after her and the two take him/her/it/them out together. And then totally go somewhere and make out.

I really hope she has a large role in ME3. She has so many possibilities for her story. I would love to she BioWare really develop her and continue her as an LI.

I hope those Liara DLC lead-ins actually lead to something substantial eventually. Get more involved in the SB sub-plot and actually continue to develop your relationship with her.

Please Bioware just give us some worthwhile interaction with her before ME3 is released.

Indeed. We were told that ME 1 love interests were held aside to keep them save. She's the ONLY squad mate that will always survive ME 1 and 2 so I expect to see her.

I'd only want Liara on my squad if she didn't turn anymore darker than she is right now, and if possible a Liara thats more like ME1 Liara.

GTFO, TALIMANCER!!!

lol, Just kidding...But really, prepared to be epically p.o.'d in Mass Effect 3. I'm betting that all the ME2 romances are getting sidelined :-/
